I think Rubio's tax cut plan was actually aimed at the middle class, as is the dems expansion of the EITC that isn't really a new idea. Although Rubio at least gave lip service to using the hoped for boost in gnp to reduce deficits. Which neither Trump nor the dems propose(d).

But as we've discussed, the establishment gop no longer had anything to offer Trump voters. But IRONICALLY Trump's economic policies have been EXACTLY what Wall St and McConnell dreamed of. Trump promised workers tax cut and rich folks tax hikes, and pretty much he did the opposite.
