How to deal with the growing nuclear blackmail

Pakistan is building new plutonium plants and Iran is building missile bases in Venezuela .
How best to handle these issues ? How will Obama deal with them? More funding?

What good is spending more than the next 10 militaries combined if you don't use it every so often to make an example of an enemy. Kennedy didn't allow the Ruskies to build in Cuba. Why would anyone allow a 2-bit punk country like Iran to build a missile base in South America? Looks like simple target practice to me.

do you really believe that the country of Pakistan or Iran would send a nuke over to the usa?

Wouldn't they KNOW, without a doubt, that this would mean the absolute end of their country and their citizens, because we would blow the living crapola out of them?

or are we talking terrorists taking over their gvts, who don't give a hoot about life or their family's lives or their countryman's lives that would send a nuke on over to us, not caring that we will blow them and their families and their friends in to smithereens?

I think the big issue with Pakistan is it could become a failed state, and terrorists could get ahold of nuclear material. I doubt either Iran or Pakistan would use it's nukes actively. The retaliation would be total.

The Crimson Tide movie is about a rogue military off-shoot in the USSR that was fueling nuclear missiles for a rogue attack on the US. It wasn't the government but a rogue element who took over the missile base....eventually they got control of their missiles and avoided a nuclear war. I might have blended in some of "The Sum of All Fears"....

But no US president would ever allow foreign nukes in our lake.

The movie isn't bad, basically its about a trident sub being put on alert for a launch because terrorists have taken control of a missile silo in a iffy ME country, have the codes and are threatening a launch, their communications break down and the last transmission is iffy, launch and take out the silo or not to forestall the launch or not....

I am not sure if religious fanatics are intimidated when it comes to MAD...we can of course build the shield and not have to worry about it, but...........

Russia Successfully Tests New Ballistic Missile
June 28, 2011 - Russia has successfully test launched its new ballistic missile from a nuclear submarine, after several previous failed attempts.

Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said Tuesday the latest underwater launch of the Bulava missile had met all parameters.

The missile was fired from Russia's northern White Sea and reached the Kura testing area on Kamchatka in the Pacific Ocean more than 5,500 kilometers away.

Military officials said that with four more successful launches, the Bulava could become part of Russia's military arsenal.
