How The Washington Post is examining police shootings in the U.S. - The Washington Post
Is not it a duty of policemen?
It's pretty sad that a newspaper has to do this. I wouldn't think it would be hard for police departments to gather this information, you know, since they have computers and such.

So where do they get the data? All police departments, Fbi, Justice department all show that blacks commit most of the crimes in this country.

It is like the right in the global warming debate...They don't have a data set and so they're laughed at...In this case the left don't have the data set and well, are laughed at.

Blacks murder twice as many whites every year...This is ten times per capita.
Cops shoot more whites every year.
Blacks commit 50% of all murders and are only 13% of the nations population.

If this isn't what they're examining...Well, they're just lying.
Black folks and libs can't comprehend racy-o's.

I think this data is very important to collect so that it can be compared and contrasted to the number of LEOs killed in the line of duty, the number of potentially-lethal situations resolved by police, and the resources and training available to officers.

Statistics must be checked every time. And somebody orders these figures to form public opinion.
How about they also compile a list of all the cops who were fatally shot in the line of duty? Because that would be equally interesting.
