Almost every where you look there is someone bringing up negativity concerning Obamacare. A closer look often uncovers the rw propaganda behind that negativity. But a new study found some unexpectedly pleasant consequences associated with Obamacare. 240000 high paying new jobs. Logically,an objective projection would have considered the law of supply and demand to predict the outcome of the study. But instead the national media regurgitated rw populist propaganda leading us to believe Obamacare was a job killer. As Paul Harvey used to say, "here is the rest of the story."

Obviously you didn't read the link nor are you aware that Obamacare is not socialized medicine. The PPACA did not change general healthcare delivery systems at all. All it did was affect the Insurance providers unfair practices and the less affluent patients accessibility to affordable healthcare via insurance. Private medical facilities or doctors choosing to participate in the program responded to the increase in demand by hiring more medical support personnel, nurses and specialists. The link also indicated significant increases in medical and nursing school enrollments.
Sorry to disappoint you but those240000 jobs were largely private sector jobs.

No you're an idiot most of the jobs created were private sector.

I saw an article it was about 400000 to half million jobs, regardless it created hundreds of thousands of private sector jobs.

I bet Trump's "wall" would do something similar, eh?

Really? 300,000 jobs lost

Report: 300,000 Small Business Jobs Lost Due to Obamacare

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/o...-10200-companies-19b-in-wages/article/2612199

So if 240,000 were created and 300,000 were lost then it looks like a net total of 60,000 lost.
Looks like my total was a conservative estimate. Debbie downer found data putting the total jobs created by Obama care much higher. 400 to 1/2 million jobs could mean more than 200, 000 additional jobs were created above the 300,000 you claim were lost.

Logically, I would have to agree. But I'd rather see the wall funds spent on repairing our crumbling infrastructure. In either case, I would still question the wisdom of giving huge tax breaks to corporations with all the sabre rattling, wall building and mira- lago
golfing going on. Those things take money.

The point being, "creating jobs" is a really dumb way to evaluate a law or policy of goverrnment.

Depends on the context of the conversation.

Really? 300,000 jobs lost

Report: 300,000 Small Business Jobs Lost Due to Obamacare

Obamacare killed 300,000 jobs, 10,200 companies, $19B in wages

So if 240,000 were created and 300,000 were lost then it looks like a net total of 60,000 lost.

You ain't showed a single bit of reliable unbiased data backing that shitass claim up.

Its so obvious when one has more patients to care for, one needs more medical personnel, medical equipment, meds, paper pushers, buildings as several hospitals in my state are expanding which means construction jobs, etc.

Warren Buffet said its not corp taxes that hurt businesses its the costs of healthcare, but the GOP wants to cut taxes for the wealthy.

Must be like that women in Texas who has 4 Fantastic Sams is so upset she can't buy another franchise as it would put her over 50 employee mark, and she herself said she can't afford insurance, and Sanders said "shame on you".

Time to put an end to the rising costs of medical supplies and medications. Get rid of the middle man, insurances.
When Aetna and BCBS of MI CEO's made 17 million last year, I'm not crying a river for them.

Thank you! Many of the jobs created because of Obama care were not included in the total cited in the link. Indeed, as you pointed out so astutely, many peripheral support jobs having nothing to do with healthcare materialized with the increase in demand by services. That would, for a thinking person, validate the greater sum total posited by Debbiedowner in post #6.

Secure tax cuts for the rich at the expense of the poor and middle-income sectors. There is no question about the intent of the GOP leaders to do just that. We see through the ruse. This tax cut is nothing more than a further redistribution of wealth from the majority of Americans to the 400 wealthiest famillies.

But even they must know that eventually the expanding wealth gap will reach a breaking point...the effects of which will resonate worldwide.
