Mark Green: How the GOP Will Re-elect Obama in 2012

But there's another variable this cycle -- the looney right uttering sound-bites that win headlines, not votes. As the Republican primary season begins with the first debate being a few months away, one thing we can rely on is a daily competition to see who can come up with an idiotic charge that panders to the half of the GOP that believes Obama to be an illegal alien and Muslim socialist. Half.

Independent voters who care about jobs will unlikely be impressed by Trump's birther attacks, Bachmann saying that Planned Parenthood is the "Lenscrafters of abortion", Gingrich concluding that the President's philosophy is "as bad as Nazism or Stalinism" or Huckabee asserting that Obama's values were shaped by the anti-colonial "mau maus"? Or consider any of the scores of examples of Tea Party nastiness, from pictures of him as an ape to Limbaugh talking about Michelle's weight. The Slur de Jour election has begun.

The race for biggest GOP winger stupidity will always take priority over the real issues. Bet on that.

The last Repub debates looked like stand up night at the morgue.

Ron Paul is the only Repub with a chance.

This election will remind us of 2004, pretty much everyone hates the incumbent besides the party-line voting types who couldn't care less what their party does as long as it's their party doing it, but the other side will offer nothing and the incumbent will win because he's the incumbent.

LMFAO.....Anything to try demean the Republicans. I would rather see Mit Romney than that loser Obumba in 2012.

RomneyCare vs ObamaCare

This small government fiscal conservative is on the edge of his seat in excitement.................

In the end of the day we will vote for the one pimped the most by the corporate media.

I honestly believe that is part of the reason why foxnews got rid of beck. He was a loon and fanning the flames and the republican party doesn't want that right now. They want a base that is predictable and controllable and that is not what they have now. They don't want the loons to be the voice of their party so they are trying to let things simmer down a bit. I also didn't hear anything about any foxnews tea parties like last year when they had their talking heads, host their programs from events and bring free entertainment with them as they tried to inflate the numbers.

I believe that they got their base so riled up that it even frightens them that the loons are going to take over the party. Let them. If that happens, I believe that the loons will win the republican primaries based on the fires that they started but then when november 2012 comes I expect obama will still be president and the republicans to lose some seats.

Im sure that voting against Obama is going to reelect him Flaylo.

As much as you want to ignore it, Obama has a record now. A really bad one. Much of this election is going to be a refferendum on what he has been doing and the people aren't happy.

If you think this looks good for Obama, then you are in a fantasy world.

Of course, anything can change in the next year and a half.

Obama owns his record now its his and his alone and the American people are not at all happy with it.

Obama went with the extremists on the left he's going to pay the price for that come election time.

Run Muammar Muhammad al-Gaddafi in the DNC Primary.

Gaddafi claims that he was born in Illinois and was kidnapped as a small child and brought to Libya, as part of a greater GOP conspiracy plot. It all somehow fits in with thew Carbon Credit Ponzi Scheme and Al Gore who is actually a GOP Manchurian Candidate and a Third cousin to Gaddafi, and a 15th Cousin to Obama. Google and Starbucks are also prime players in the Plot. They are both monitoring everything we do, and putting something in the Caffine, to lower our IQ, in hopes we re-register as Democrats.
