How The Democrats Created Red China

Since China entered the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2001, the United States has lost 5.5 million manufacturing jobs and more than 26,000 (net) manufacturing plants. Between 2001 and 2008 alone, growing trade deficits with China displaced 2.4 million U.S. jobs, and 60% of those jobs were lost in the manufacturing sector (Scott 2010).

Here's the surprise: since 2001 we have lost more tech jobs than manufacturing jobs! -- We lost 628,000 tech jobs -26 percent of all jobs displaced by trade- between 2001 and 2008.

Remember, Republicans, working with the Chamber and Commerce and China helped move millions of jobs to China from 2001 to 2008. It's all documented. Easy to find out.

Republicans think Democrats helped turn China RED, but WE KNOW Republicans helped turn China "GREEN" with American money and jobs. And under Romney they will continue what they started under Bush. They want to "finish the job".

Who’s the World’s Largest Exporter?
by John Murphy
The World Trade Organization (WTO) today issued its World Trade Report 2010, an annual publication that offers definitive statistics on international trade. In recent months, media reports have widely described China as the world’s largest exporter, but today’s report indicates that the United States remained the world’s largest exporter of goods and services through 2009. China has indeed overtaken the United States and Germany to become the world’s largest exporter of merchandise.
Exports in 2009, billions of U.S. dollars
Merchandise Commercial
Services Total
U.S. 1,057 470 1,527
Germany 1,121 215 1,336

So sorry....

....you got both parts wrong.

Try again?

Sure.

You're wrong.

Easy enough.

Could you extend your efforts just a wee bit more....and show which parts of the OP are in error.....

...'cause without same, they seem to lead to an overwhelming conclusion....

Don't you agree?

There really isn't a need to go any further.

You source overly simplistic material considering the history you are dealing with. China is a vast and huge country with a history that dwarfs our own.

Have you been there?

I mean you don't need to actually go..but if you've been..you'd know what I was talking about.

So....you aren't able to find anything in the OP that is incorrect?

Actually...I'm certain that you didn't even try.....lack of ability and/or lack of gumption.
In either case, let's stipulate that the OP is absolutely true.

Yup...communist influences in the United States government, under the influence of communist-lite officials, allowed Mao and Stalin a free hand.....('free' may be inappropriate when discussing communists)...and withheld aid to the nationalists.

If you ever decide to educate yourself....this from an interesting book:

“On September 2, 1939, the day after the outbreak of war in Europe, Whittaker Chambers had told much of what he knew about Soviet espionage in the United States to Adolph Berle, Assistant Secretary of State and President’s Roosevelt’s advisor on internal security.

Immediately afterwards, Berle drew up a memorandum for the President which listed Alger Hiss, Harry Dexter White and the other leading for whom Chambers acted as courier. One was a leading presidential aide, Lauchlin Currie….Roosevelt, however, was not interested. He seems to have dismissed the whole idea of espionage rings within his administration as absurd.”

You didn't understand "goods" is part of this: "the United States remained the world’s largest exporter of goods and services through 2009."?

Oh so now it's democrats that "created Red China" and not centuries of poverty, famine and pestilance wrought by corrupt and selfish monarchies and dynasties..

Man you gotta love it.
Come on, Mr. Sallow. We have our problems too. We're 236 years old historically - China has a recorded history of 3500 years with human skulls estimated to be 2 million years old. However, on the side of loving one's neighbor, I just read the latest population count in China, and here's the skinny: As of the count by them in 2010, they have 1.3 billion mouths to feed. A few decades ago, the Chinese wisely worked out a one-child per family reproduction plan that would get their population under control to prevent worldwide famine upon themselves, and it appears to me that having now a 1.3 billion population kind of bucks the trend of a world that's gone from 3.04 billion in 1960 * to 7 billion as of this year of our dear Lord, 2012.

The reference is to emphasize we are not standing up for ourselves considering the trade deficit of China not aiming for reciprocity in trade. It could be they're desperately trying to ensure their own population at least has a couple of bowls of rice a day, as they have four times our population. Measured against our population at the end of WWII, they had possibly 15 times the number of people we do. We've tripled. They're working on a negative population growth, but it is not clear if that has been achieved. Of the approximately 190 countries in today's world, they're # 156 in growth.

It's a problem for us, and they're still having to deal with the change to small family size when we pointed out after WWII they needed to control population to reduce killing their own to do the same.

Even so, we'd like to see our numbers improve on the difference in imports and exports. Now instead of exporting goods, politicians are exporting jobs to China to keep cheap goods coming over here.

This problem has many levels, and Political Chic's one deserves some air time, don't you think? ;)

I'm not a particularly nice person, but I think if we could put some lazy bums in jail on an assembly line and give them incentives to work, we could parallel China and bring home some international bacon by being more competitive. The unions might not like it, though, or would they? We need to work together to come to a common cause, because some very good economists advise us to make the gap of reciprocity smaller, not larger.

LOL. What a douche move.

The People's Republic of China is much younger than The United States of America.

for people who consistantly claim that Obama blames BUSH and REPUBLICANS for EVERYTHING you cons sure do like to blame DEMS and OBAMA for EVERYTHING!

I believe that ALL (as opposed to selected bits) the REAL evidence will shows us that BOTH dems AND repubs are responsible for BOTH the mess we are in today and the rise of china to its current influential state

"...you cons sure do like to blame DEMS..."

Glad you brought that up....

...and along that line...

Possibly, you might be aware of the number one terrorist-supporting state in the world.....

Iran?

Very good!

Do you know how it became such?

Dr. Abbas Milani is he Director of the Iranian Studies Program at Stanford University. His recent book is “The Shah,” is based on ten years studying the archives of the United States and of Britain. The following is from same:

1. Khomeini rose to prominence opposing women’s right to vote, land reform, opposing the status of force agreement with the United States (stationing of troops in Iran), anti-Semitic rhetoric (called the Shah an ‘infidel Jew’), and in ’62 he was arrested. He lived from ’64 to ’78 in exile, writing anti-democratic and anti-modern treatises. When the time came to seize power, though, he hid his intentions.

a. Ayatollah Khomeini immediately denounced the proposed reforms, led the clerical opposition, and spent eight months under house arrest for his speeches against the Shah, and the reforms. His arrest, in 1963, provoked powerful urban protest, the so-called uprising of 15 Khordad 1342, which led to a large number of deaths—thousands according to the opposition, 400 according to more reliable sources. Boston Review — milani.php

2. Khomeini and his allies in Iran actually reached out to the Americans, to whom he promised a) to hold the country together, calming the unrest, b) to keep the communists out, and c) to keep the oil flowing. That’s all Carter had to hear! Carter then intercedes with the Iranian military on behalf of Khomeini and in opposition to Bakhtiar, and that the US would not support any coup in favor of the Shah. In 1991, Bakhtiar was assassinated.

a. Carter believed that Khomeini would support democracy, contrary to all that he had written while in exile. In over 110 interviews he gave in Paris in the three months prior to re-entering Iran, he never mentioned the rule of the ‘juriscouncil,’ the clerical guardianship, i.e., the regime in control currently. He promised that he would retire to a life of study, and “…leave all powers to the people.”

b. The first constitution that was written was democratic! Khomeini flew to Iran in February, ’79. Within weeks he began to marginalize democracy forces. Soon a new constitution was written with the rule of the guardians at its center. November 4, of ’79 was the attack on the US embassy and taking of the hostages for 444 days.

Today the world is faced with Islamofascism and terrorism thanks to Democrat Jimmy Carter.

"... you cons sure do like to blame DEMS and OBAMA for EVERYTHING!"

And now that Obama has seen to it that radicals have taken over the Middle East....

....your statement is 100% correct.

And 'the cons' are as well.

1. For all of his many faults, Progressive Democrat President Woodrow Wilson was strongly opposed to communism. He understood it to be antithetical to American values and direction. “Wilson dubbed the Bolsheviks "barbarians," "terrorists" and "tyrants." He said they were engaged in a "brutal" campaign of "mass terrorism," of "blood and terror," of "indiscriminate slaughter" through "cunning" and "savage oppression." The "violent and tyrannical" Bolsheviks were "the most consummate sneaks in the world," and Bolshevism was an "ugly, poisonous thing." Wilson warned that the Bolsheviks were pushing an "expansionist" ideology that they wanted to export "throughout the world," including into the United States.” The Wilson you never knew - USATODAY.com

2. “Containment was a United States policy using numerous strategies to prevent the spread of communism abroad. A component of the Cold War, this policy was a response to a series of moves by the Soviet Union to enlarge communist influence in Eastern Europe, China, Korea, and Vietnam. It represented a middle-ground position between détente and rollback.

The basis of the doctrine was articulated in a 1946 cable by U.S. diplomat George F. Kennan. As a description of U.S. foreign policy, the word originated in a report Kennan submitted to U.S. Defense SecretaryJames Forrestal in 1947, a report that was later used in a magazine article. As early as the late 1930s, even known Communists in government were often regarded by their colleagues as merely "liberals in a hurry." And during the war, of course, they could be excused as simply enthusiasts for America's doughty ally, "good old Joe." Small wonder, then, that liberals, after the onset of the Cold War with the Soviet Union in 1946, dreaded so profoundly the disclosure of the appalling degree of governmental penetration that they now began to suspect the Communists had achieved on their watch in the 1930s and the first half of the 1940s.’
