"longknife" that is not really the point. If a TV program were encouraging young people to become "jihadi's" and go to Afghanistan to fight America and its allies, your just tuning into something else would be shirking your obligation as a good citizen. I would hope that you would do what you could to get that program off the air, or at least to publicize what it was doing.
If a film creates a false and insidious narrative about historical facts, right-thinking people will do what they can to expose the lies and distortions, and to publish the correct facts, so that unwitting people will not be deceived.
Scripted television programming has become a method of brainwashing the American public - and especially children - into accepting a world-view that it inimical to American values. Letting it go on and just changing the channel is the same as collaborating with the publication of the garbage.
