How stupid are the DC party chiefs

Back last fall the GOP endorsed a really scrofulous candidate for NY 23 that had the party faithful all over furious. It resulted in a split in the local party that allowed a Democrat to waltz into a very republican seat. The national party spent tons of money promoting a candidate that in the end, was forced to abandon her campaign because of all the local angry feeling.


Now the Democrats are doing the same level of stupid in Hawaii. Hawaii is so blue there has never been a Republican congress critter in all 50 years of statehood. But the national Dems are pushing someone that all levels of the local party hate, and there is a good chance the Republican might win for the first time evah because the National candidate is getting the money, and the local guy is getting the support.

What do they smoke in DC? Is there something wrong with the Potomac river water?

Given the nature of the average Democrat, that might actually be a good plan. Far better to spend the money on live sex shows than to make the voters mad by supporting clods they don't like

They're worried that if there is a military buildup in Hawaii, it may tip over and capsize.
