Lately the debates have given her supporters Hillary sightings and they perk up. Then she goes back to her cave/burrow/whatever emerging only for fundraisers and her support very slowly oozes away. Then the drip, drip, drip starts up again:

WikiLeaks,

FBI reports

Project Veritas

New accusers of Bill

And the Calendar is not her friend.

Ocare is providing new parttime jobs and fulltime layoffs. Not a goodness thing. And this will get worse all the way to the election.

With the cost of data collection going down and the speed of data analysis going up proving the usual fraud and incompetence in blue states is super easy. This kind of prospect of say CA and NY not counting because vote fraud (incompetence) is proven in court really reassures the base. (That can be done with state documents in both cases.)

So how soft is her support?

Probably about, oh, 300 EV's soft or so.

Try to imagine how much worse Trump would lose if there was more excitement for Hillary.

Hillary's support is strongest among the political class whose livlihoods and influence depend on maintaining the status quo in Washington DC. Next come left-wing ideologues who would have preferred Sanders but fear Trump as an iconoclastic bull in a china shop. Then come racial minorities who have bought into her victimization line. After that are single women who support Hillary because she is a woman and pro-choice.

Her softest support may be among millennials, who trust neither capitalism nor Hillary's concealment of her emails. If they stay home, she may yet lose the election.

How Soft is Hillary's Support?
Depends on how long they look at her

Other than wishful thinking, is there any evidence indicating Clinton's support is soft?

The actual evidence, the early voting, seems to indicate things will go the other way, that Clinton will outperform the polls.

It's not hard to see why. A lot of women supporting Clinton don't want to publicly state their support of Clinton, because the Trump fans around them are loud and dangerous.
