How quickly Socialism can destroy a country

An approach that has worked better than either of those two failures is what might be called a mixed, managed market, social-democratic,.

AKA, Fascism

Fascism is a political philosophy like democracy or monarchy, not an economic philosophy like socialism or capitalism. Not only are the common economic aspects of fascism not defining, they are also not the parts of it that we don't like. The aspects of fascism we don't like are things like one-party states, supreme dictatorial leaders, concentration camps, censorship, suppression of dissent.

The history of modern Europe shows that a mixed economy is perfectly severable from a fascist government. Anyone, therefore, who calls such an economy "fascist" is engaged in deliberate deception.
