How Much Do We Spend on the Nonworking Poor?
So the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities decided to add up the numbers and figure out how much money the federal government spends on the nonworking poor. The answer: about 10 percent of all federal welfare spending.

"The Solution in Afghanistan: Get Out"
The human and financial costs of the war in Afghanistan "are unacceptable and unsustainable":
This war has already cost us more than $450 billion; combined with the war in Iraq, it is estimated to account for 23 percent of our deficits since 2003. Where is the outcry from the Tea Partyers and the deficit hawks? Fiscal conservatives should be howling that this war is being financed with borrowed money. Those who support the war should be willing to pay for it.

Obama did not create a welfare state, the right did.

Tell the non working poor to get up off their asses and get a job. The rest of us have to work for our keep! They may see themselves as special but we see them as leeches.

Its not even the fact it is only 10%. Its the fact that half of this country is on it some way or another. We are losing independance and responsibility. Thats the problem, as it will only get fuckin worse. IMO anyways

Tell the "job creators" to quit moving our jobs to China and maybe your idea might work.

Something I always wondered about these whiny bitch Libtards.

There are 10's of millions of liberals who believe that 'our' jobs are being shipped somewhere, but they won't band together to start companies so that they can overpay for the American-made goods and services they claim to support.

In fact, Liberals are the least likely demographic to buy a product made by an American union worker.

Pathetic hypocrites.

So when Government Motors, Chrysler, et al finally get tired of outrageous pay and benefits for professional career lug nut tighteners and move those jobs somewhere they can get them tightened for a hell of a lot less money, the folks here whose career paths suddenly dead-ended can join up for 99 friggin' weeks of unemployment and assorted other government freebies.

Oh those poor nonworking poor.

Faced with a population where such a major percentage refuses to work and what's the alternative?
