Obama Lied About 47 Million Uninsured Americans
In a nationally televised primetime press conference tonight, Obama falsely claimed there are 47 million Americans without health insurance, saying, "This is not just about the 47 million Americans who have no health insurance," Obama said in a prepared statement at the start of his Wednesday night press conference. "Reform is about every American who has ever feared that they may lose their coverage if they become too sick, or lose their job, or change their job."
This inflated claim of the number of uninsured Americans was even higher than the false claim of 46 million uninsured Americans that the Council of Economic Advisers made last month. The Census Bureau's latest numbers prove that there are only 35.92 million uninsured Americans -- of this number:
There are 9.1 million people who earn more than $75,000 a year and who choose not to purchase insurance. The Congressional Budget Office reports that this number could be as high as 43% of the uninsured, because of 18 to 35 year-olds who choose not to obtain insurance.
Then, there are 10 million who are not Americans, but foreigners.
So, according to the latest numbers from the US Census Bureau, less than 17 million Americans can considered "uninsured."
ObamaCare wants to throw out the finest medical system in the world for less than 17 million people, of which many, are alcoholics, drug addicts, dropouts and just plain bums. So the 95% of Americans that now have healthcare will be forced to accept ObamaCare, a system that nobody understands, and nobody can cost out, to cover these people -- and the additional cost will be $300 billion -- at a minimum.
