I don't know what it's been hijacked by, but my question was how many nonconservative ideals will they embrace?

They are globalists. They are not even close to being conservative.

Many Democrats today are moderate, but more and more are becoming socialists. Bill Clinton, of course, was certainly not moderate when he took office in '93. His leftist policies allowed the Republicans to take control of Congress beginning in '95. When that happened, he was forced to take a moderate position.

If we don't get angry now, when would be an appropriate time to get mad? Can you reverse the labotomy you got that keeps you calm while the country falls apart and your retirement gets delayed by another 10 years because your dollar is now worth 25 cents? Or the GOP bankrupted the government so it would be easier to do away with social programs like social security?

The fact is, I've been calling the GOP out on their bullshit since the late 80's. So if they were hijacked, it was during the Reagan administration.

He spent his way out of a recession too, so in ways, his policies led us to this mess we are in. Because Bush 1 and 2 did exactly as he did, and look where it got us. Breaking unions, lowering wages, higher unemployement, more people going into debt, spent way too much on defense, deregulated industries, etc.

And if the GOP has been hijacked, the worst thing to do would be to vote for them again. If they do that, why should the GOP ever change? They can just continue being the lesser of two evils.

I'm a member of the Libertarian Party, so of course I might lean right on some issues and I might lean left on others. Therefore your assertion that "you lean to the right buddy" is incorrect.

THEY were the party demanding fiscal responsibility, and an AMERICA FIRST attitude behind every law and policy.

Then the moment they got into power they did much the same thing the Democraps did, only on an even more outrageous scale.

Right now the Rs are a menace to this society.

The Ds are waiting in the wings to basically continue the same goofy policies that brought us to this unhappy state.

My only hope is that the Dems will take into account the wellbeing of the people as they continue their drive toward globalization.

They could if they

1. Provided FREE EDUCATION to all (so that we CAN compete in this global economy)

2. Figured out a way of providing socialized medicine.

They won't be able to do that, though.
