Interesting that. I don't know how many times some goof in a bar wanted to prove he could kick some Marine's ass. That's usually when I point out the Marines didn't train me to fight ... they trained me to kill shit. That usually shuts them up pretty quick.

I've heard that that's why Marines have to avoid getting into fights and are supposed to warn attackers before we even defend ourselves (though a judge would probably side with the defender); we're considered "lethal weapons" and instead of being charged with assault we get charged with attempted murder.
