Apparently the glutter isn't low enough for them, these scumbags go way below that!

These scumbags are FALSELY attacking Toys-R-Us, because Toys-R-Us's parent company is making the smart choice of moving away from the HIGHLY over-paid, lazy, always outrageous demands, bloated pension fund receiving, killing American business and communist styled Teamsters and going elsewhere!

So what do these scumbags mobster assholes do? They put out a false accusation (emphasis on FALSE!!!) on BULLSHIT make-believe evidence, right before the holiday season that Toys-R-Us is selling toxic toys (the same toys all the retailers are selling)!

Like these assholes care about the publics. Word to stupid, Toys-R-Us is a retailer not a manufacturer! All the toys that Toys-R-Us purchases for resale are FEDERALLY approved products that all the other retailers purchase also, EXCEPT they won't sell out their customer base by using mobsters like the TEAMSTERS!

Unions are the BIGGEST CAUSE OF JOBS, specifically MANUFACTURING JOBS going overseas! These communist bastards SUCK!

Christmas Fight! Teamsters vs. Toys R Us - FoxBusiness.com
Why Attack Only Toys R Us?

So why only Toys R Us? The Teamsters have another stake in this battle.

A Toys R Us source says it could be because of prior activities between the union and the retailer's co-owner, Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts, a private equity concern with $54.4 billion in assets under management.

KKR is moving to take the Toys R Us public in an $800 million IPO next year.

The Teamsters union has long battled KKR for various labor practices at companies KKR owns stakes in, and for business practices the union feels will hurt its investments in its $100 billion pension and benefits fund.

The Teamsters didn’t return calls for comment. KKR didn’t returns calls for comment.

For example, KKR has been fighting the Teamsters’ attacks over its business practices at Dollar General stores, one of its biggest investments, as well as the union’s efforts to organize the U.S. Foodservice center in Tampa, reports indicate.

KKR co-owns U.S. Foodservice with Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, another private equity concern.

KKR has also been attempting to modify a Teamster labor agreement at a U.S. Foodservice location in Streator, Ill., reports note.

Limited Sample, Conclusive Proof?

The Teamsters and the group do not offer conclusive proof in their report that the plastic chemicals in question are in the toys, only noting there is a “likely presence” that they are there.

Also, the group’s report notes it looked at “a limited sample from two Toys R Us outlets,” 60 toys.

Last week, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said that the number of toy recalls dropped to 44 in the fiscal year that ended in September from 50 a year earlier.

That’s down dramatically from the reported 172 toy recalls in 2008.

The agency also said in a statement that tougher regulations and enforcement, including more testing for toxic chemicals "have reduced the need to replace or fix toys already on the market.”

Teamsters, Safety and Health Activist Groups Protest Toys R Us' Failure to Phase Out PVC, the Poison Plastic

NEW YORK, July 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today the Teamsters Union, the Center for Health, Environment & Justice, Clean New York, WEACT for Environmental Justice, the Lower Eastside Girls Club, concerned parents and consumer activists protested poisonous PVC plastic used in toys at the Toys R Us flagship store in Times Square.

The demonstrators asked Toys R Us to "end the toxic toy story" by labeling PVC presence on all toys and agreeing to a complete phase-out of the poison plastic with a verifiable deadline. Speakers highlighted Toys R Us' failure to remove toys containing PVC, a plastic harmful to children's health, from the toy giant's shelves.

At the protest, Toys R Us customers were offered live toy testing to demonstrate the presence of PVC in toys purchased from the store. Demonstrators demanding an end to the "Toxic Toy Story" also distributed a comic strip and balloons detailing the harmful effects of the poison plastic contained in Toy Story 3 toys being sold at Toys R Us. A delegation attempted to return a "Toxic Toy Box" full of PVC-laced toys to the flagship Toys R Us store.

Toys R Us, a portfolio company of the private equity firm Kohlberg Kravitz & Roberts Co. (KKR), has announced an initial public offering. In an effort to protect children and advocate for changes at Toys R Us, the Teamsters Office of Consumer Affairs and the Center for Health, Environment & Justice announced the commissioning of a report for Congress. The report will focus on Toys R Us' Toy Safety Policy and Practices, with a concentration on its failure to phase out PVC.

The report commission will be chaired by Professor Peter Orris, Director of the Occupational Health and Safety Institute (OHSI) at the School of Public Health at the University of Illinois, Chicago and Director of the Global Toxics Program. Professor Orris is one of the leading authorities on toxic exposure in America.

"How can investors back a company that poisons our kids and communities?" said Teamsters General President James P. Hoffa. "This is just the beginning. As long as KKR's Toys R Us fails to ignore the welfare of American consumers and their children, we will keep taking action to inform the public and demand legislative action."

Independent product testing by the Ecology Center in Ann Arbor, Mich. has confirmed that Toys R Us is selling Toy Story 3 merchandise made with PVC. Products that tested positive include the Defender Buzz Lightyear figure, Bucket O' Soldiers, and Buzz and Woody figurines, among others.

"This is unconscionable," said Bobbi Chase Wilding of Clean New York, and a mother of two. "As a parent, it's hard enough to protect our kids from obvious hazards. But Toys R Us makes our jobs harder when they don't tell us about toxic chemicals in children's products. Toys R Us needs to fully disclose all dangerous chemicals in their products so we can make informed decisions. But that's not enough: we need to pass legislation that enforces transparency and replaces toxic chemicals with safer alternatives. Our children's health is at stake."

Scientific experts say that there is no safe way to manufacture, use or dispose of PVC products. Chemicals released in PVC's lifecycle have been linked to chronic diseases that are on the rise in children, impaired child development & birth defects, cancer, disruption of the endocrine system, reproductive impairment, and immune system suppression.

"This issue goes beyond what is found in children's toys. We need and deserve good jobs, a clean environment, and safe and healthy products," said John Williams, Teamster Warehouse Director. "We have repeatedly pointed out that Toys R Us' owner KKR has not been acting in a responsible fashion across several of its controlled companies, and this needs to stop. Our 1.4 million members expect us to look after their well-being. Most have children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews. Our commitment to our members extends beyond the workplace and includes their loved ones."

The Teamsters are also fighting for accountability from another controversial company, U.S. Foodservice, which is co-owned by private equity firms KKR and CD&R. U.S. Foodservice has been cited more than 100 times by the National Labor Relations Board for violating American labor laws protecting workers rights.

Founded in 1903, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters represents more than 1.4 million hardworking men and women in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

Sounds about right for the unions. All they care about is their dues.

I think today is a good day to shop at torys r us.

I think today is a good day to shop at torys r us.

Maybe. I'll bet they'll be offering some great prices after this story broke.

Seriously it sounds like it's mostly the Toy Story 3 toys that are in question so you might want to avoid them.

Why do it now? Why not bring this up before the holiday push so they could have forced TRU to sell other goods? Because they don't give a crap! They will find a so-called scientist to make BULL SHIT Claims!

American Unions are worst than the Red Army!

Most teamsters are organized assholes.

They sure can be!!!!! :D

The truth is most teamster WORKERS are good, hard-working and patriotic Americans who are forced to join the Union!

It's the management! They are ALL CORRUPT! They make outrageous demands, have bloated salaries, skim off the top, waste a ton of funds, demand unfundable pension funds and KILL JOBS!

Management is the problem!

Wal-Mart's been telling unions to "go fuck yourself" for years so I doubt that it's the only reason. And, as I pointed out, the Teamsters are only one of several groups that are bringing this up so why would FOX (or even you) only target them?

As for "Why do it now" can you think of a better time if you're trying to make a point?

As for "American Unions are worst than the Red Army"....I hope you're not saying that while enjoying the benefits that Unions fought for over the years for ALL workers.

LMAO!!!!! That sure did sound naive on their part, didn't it?

So let me ask....do they trust everything that "passes Federal Testing"? Children are killed every year by supposed "safe tested" products. But that doesn't mean that every single piece gets tested or new dangers aren't discovered.

I'm sure that Toyota deemed their cars safe until people started getting killed by sticking accelerators.
