How long would the rich remain rich without the poor?

What is the point of the post? Just who is it that says we should get rid of the Poor? I mean WTF lol.

The majority of the right wing believes they serve no function whatsoever in society.

They don't even value them for the cheap labor.

Can't say I agree with that Statement. In fact the only people I see claiming anyone else has no Value, is the Left claiming the Rich Have no Value.

A more realistic question would be what would happen if the stranglehold the rich have on the economy and politics were somehow broken? If the country were run for the general benefit of all rather than just the aristocracy? This is the question that has always kept the ruling elite awake at night, wondering when at last the serfs will storm the castle. It will be very soon for them if things do not change for the better and instead continue down the same corpse littered path so many societies ruled by an untouchable elite have traveled before.

Who laid the first chicken egg.
So we would have the first chicken...
To lay the first chicken egg...

This should be discussed first.

If the country were run for the general benefit of all rather than just the aristocracy?

Well, Comrade, actually your solution has been tried many times and always leads to the same result. Endless power and money for the political class and food lines for the rest.

I like how liberals in the richest country in the history of man still whine they want more rather than being able to appreciate what you have even in the slightest little bit.

Winston Churchill: The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries

Does anyone on the left that is posting in this thread understand the concept of "capitalism"?

If so, explain what it means to you....because from what I'm reading, it doesn't sound like what capitalism actually is.

Imagine a rich guy.

He owns a mansion on a huge plot.

Everyday he wakes up, goes to work, works 15 hours, comes home, eats, goes to sleep. He works very hard. Makes a ton of money.

One day all the poor and lower middle class disappear.

All of a sudden our rich man has to
...clean his own house
...cut his own grass
...cook his own food
...change his own oil
...replace his own alternator
...repair his own broken window
...shovel his own snow
...iron his own clothes
...wash his own laundry

In short - do a lot of the things that ordinary people have to do on their own - except he has to do it much more because he's got a much bigger house - leaving less
time for him to do the job that makes him wealthy. In fact - with a home 5-10 X bigger than most Americans, its doubtful he'll have any time left over for work at all.

So what happens? Does his sacrifice time at work? Does his downsize his mansion to a more manageable living area? Or does he just let everything go to shit?

Any ideas?

Yes, but without parasites like you, the rich man has three times as much wealth (half doesn't get taken in taxes to support you parasites, and another large chunk is saved by doing his own yard word).

By the way, I love how you parasites act like you're doing the wealthy a favor and that they owe you.

One last thing, by your own REALLY DUMB "logic", what do parasites like you do without the wealthy? They pay the taxes that provide your food stamps. They pay the taxes that provide your subsidized housing. It's wealthy physicians who provide the healthcare for ALL of us.

You really need to see a mental health professional. Your jealousy of those who are more successful is just disturbing.

We can start with TM's wish....
Tax all the rich cheating bastards over 92%
And maybe take it a step further.
Not on income for the year but total wealth.

Then we tell those who are collecting UE checks for 99 weeks and will not even look for work
until the checks stop...that their checks will be doubled and they can collect for as long as they want.

I want to make it clear here...

TM wants the tax rate to go back to 92% on income...

The rest was the product of my brain...

But I bet the Libs would love that shit.Tax the rich 97% of their total wealth...
Just for starters...just to whet the appetite.Just to get things started. :D

How long would the poor last if the middle class and the rich where not paying for there rent, food, cars, cell phones and internet?

Anyone of those people can start their own business, ie, lawn care and landscaping, car repair. laundry and be successful. Oh, capitalism. Isn't it great?

Yes, it IS great. It breeds innovation and success for ambitious people who find hard work rewarding, while employing those who don't want to work 24/7.

The need is not 50/50. The gardener needs the rich man a hell of a lot more than the rich guy needs the gardener.

You must be posting from a homeless shelter. Because, it's incredible that anyone as stupid as you could keep a job or a roof over his head. The gardener can grow his own food. The rich man would starve without the gardener. The gardener is a producer. The rich man is practically a pure consumer, fucktard.

You didn't answer the question. You did hurl insults and make groundless accusations.

Its exactly what I expected from you.

I have no specific suggestions as nothing that would actually remedy the situation will ever be allowed to occur. Too many times in history such rapidly deteriorating situations have been followed by widespread civil strife and tyrannical backlashes, only a fool would think that it cannot happen here.

You're forgetting the downside for the poor and the middle class: they're all dead.

Well, my guess is he would adapt to them being gone. Moreover, other people would see a need and offer to take those jobs and fulfill the need. he may end up having to pay more for the positions though.

Lo and behold, there would be more poor and middle class.

And he could drive himself to work and pack a lunch, clean his own toilets, clean up his own messes, repair his own roof, etc. I opt for letting everything go to shit!:D

Compared to the rich man?

Who do you think would last longer - a plantation owner whose slaves disappeared - or slaves whose plantation owner disappeared? Why is it you think a rich guy has to own the land before it gets tilled? Is there something about the owner being wealthy that makes the land more fertile?

You can look back about a hundred and fifty years, and see for yourself who was better off, and who was worse off, when slavery ended. Remove the carpet baggers from the mix, and it is easy to see that the owners came out ahead. The majority of slaves stayed on the plantations and worked for housing and food, because they had nowhere else to go.

Tilling someone else's land, for your own survival, is a fool's game. The owner of that land will most likely end up with the produce of your labor.

A rich person. regardless of the amount of wealth, is only rich in comparision to others who do not have that amount of wealth. In a land of billionaires, a millionaire is poor.

The implication of the Opening Post is that the rich guy couldn't survive without his gardener, which is one of the funniest posts to come down the pike in a long time.

.

What would he do with his garden without his gardener?

What would the gardener do without a job?

Starve.

Which is worse, a rich guy without a gardener or a gardener without a job?

Hmmmm...

I dont think the OP gives a damn about whether the gardener starves or doesn't starve. He seems to think that we are divided into classes and the poor and middle class are enslaved by the rich. It can't be further from the truth.

First, there are no classes in the United States.

Second, Everyone makes money by serving someone else. You provide for someones wants or needs better than others and you make money.

Welcome to the topsy-turvy brain of the progressive, where up is down and the employer is dependent on the employee for survival.
