forever.

Its what smart people call history.

You created this history with your historically failed ideas.

You own this history till the end of mankind.

There is your answer.

You will hear about the mess you made until the end of mankinds exsistance.

You dont get to rewrite history to avoid blame.

Both parties trashed the economy.

Both parties will continue to do whatever it takes to get campaign donations from Big Money.

It's how they roll.

FACT: GWB tried THREE times to get the Democrat Controlled Congress to do something about the impending housing crisis. The DEMOCRATS who controlled the house and senate, refused.

Who caused this mess? The Democrats.

Who caused this mess? The Democrats.

And who controlled both the House and Senate the 1st 2 years of the Obama Presidency?

The Democrats.....

Maybe Truthmatters needs to get the Truth correct :eusa_whistle:

The government trashed the economy, last I checked two parties are running the government. Dems are as guilty as Republicans............blaming someone instead of fixing the problem.........is well, an even bigger problem.

.

The trashing of the economy was a group effort. Among the villains:

  • The Dems, who simplistically pushed for "fairness" in home mortgages
  • The Republicans, who simplistically fought against regulation
  • The ratings agencies, who got away with giving "A" bond ratings to crap CDO's
  • The regulators, who allowed the ratings agencies and others to skirt existing regulation
  • The Congress, which failed to create effective, flexible oversight because they have their heads up their ass
  • The American Consumer, who has been spending and borrowing just as foolishly as our elected "leaders"
  • The American Culture, which places a higher value on materialism and status than on modesty and prudent personal finance

A group effort. Who SAYS we don't cooperate?

SEC Votes for Final Rules Defining How Banks Can Be Securities Brokers
Eight Years After Passage of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Key Provisions Will Now Be Implemented
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
2007-190
Washington, D.C., Sept. 19, 2007 - Ending eight years of stalled negotiations and impasse, the Commission today voted to adopt, jointly with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Board), new rules that will finally implement the bank broker provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999. The Board will consider these final rules at its Sept. 24, 2007 meeting. The Commission and the Board consulted with and sought the concurrence of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and Office of Thrift Supervision.

The Bill that both parties agreed on was NEVER implimented UNTIL after the economy crashed.

They gamed the legislation by holding back for 8 years the protections in the law that would have prevented this mess.

If you research it, you will find that Bush didn't try three times. He actually tried on 17 separate occasions to stop the housing crisis from escalating.

Are you honestly trying to claim that the Democrats had absolutely no part in the collapse??

All partisanship aside, I have to give you the nod on this post.
