How is Romney Different Than Bush?

And I don't care if the debt goes to 900 trillion. The bankers will figure out how to avoid a crash that is so big it also destroys them too.
Yes, and probably by having the government bail them out once again. That's an issue that Dubya, Obama and Romney can all agree upon.

I have been asking this and no one seems to be able to answer.

Doesn't seem that anyone can answer this question. Whole lot of talking about other stuff but nothing on how Romney is going to be different than Bush.

But I did hear a good one. Romney is a moderate Republican, more moderate than Bush, and Obama is a socialist. So the GOP are going to try to suggest that Romney isn't going to be as bad as Bush but better than Obama. How will he be different than Bush on any of these issues?

War with Iran?
Global Warming?
Birth control?
Tax breaks to the rich?
Collective bargaining?
Military spending?
Social Security and Medicare?
Citizens United?
Bankrupting GM?
Deregulating Wallstreet again?

How is Romney any different than Bush on any of these things???

How is Obama different from Bush? Both engaged in massive spending Obama has continued most of the anti terror measures from the Bush year's including the Patriot Act both engaged in bailouts expanded Government power they even used the same surge strategy one in Iraq the other in Afghanistan.

If you believe that then vote for Obama. Or don't vote at all. I won't tell you how Obama is different because you won't like those things about him. So I hope you just continue to think that he's no different than Bush/Romney and so you either don't vote or vote for Obama. Just don't vote for Romney.

And you didn't answer my question. How is Mitt different than Bush? If you can't answer, don't feel bad. No one has been able to so far.

You didn't answer my question either for the obvious reasons nothing that I said was untrue and you know it which is the reason you won't tell us how Obama is different from Bush because you know deep down he really isn't.The truth is you can't admit even to yourself when you voted for Obama if you did and going by your post I suspect you did that you voted for Bush's third term.

You mean that Republicans generally share the same views on a lot of issues well no kidding and guess what the same general rule applies to Democrats as a example how is Obama different from Jimmy Carter I'm willing to bet they have pretty much the same views on a lot of issues as well.

It makes liberals happy that both parties suck? What in the world?
It's sillybooboo....You get used to the kookiness after awhile.

We need to take back the House so we don't have Paul Ryan and Boehner running the show. Then we'll show you which party is better.

But what sucks is the GOP obstruction that will start immediately next year when we control all three houses. Will Mitch McConnell break his current filabuster record? Will we have enough seats to get anything passed?

Will Blue Dog Democrats obstruct? Will Lieberman still be a Senator?

All that matters is that we control all three houses. I'll worry about the rest later. But we have to pressure them to do the right thing. It isn't enough to just vote. You have to call and tell them you want them to take on the Wallstreet Oil Speculators. You have to tell them that you want tariffs on corporations doing business overseas. You have to tell them not to give the rich any more tax breaks.

Democrats recently had their chance at running all three houses. All we got was crap health insurance reform that nobody wanted.

And what good will calling them do if they know for an absolute fact that you will vote for them anyways?

So Obama isn't a socialist. Thank you for admitting that. Whenever a righty calls him one I'm going to come find you to argue with them.

And if you want to know how Obama is different, start a thread. But don't waste your time. I'll make this short. Tax breaks to the middle class and poor, not rich. Huge difference. Number 2, unions. Number 3, gays. 4. Global warming. 5. Who he will appoint to the Supreme Court. 6. Obama won't go to war with Iran. 7. Obama got Bin Ladin. I gave you 7, you can't give me 1. :clap2: I proved my point.

You must spend a lot of time being disappointed, tough guy.

Jimmy Carter had great views. He was just weak. The GOP chewed him up and spit him out. Too honest, kind and nice to be president. Obama is not weak. Not as tough as Kennedy though. He doesn't want a hole in his head.

Notice all the good work Carter has done since he has retired? Notice how the Democratic presidents all win humanitarian awards and the GOP presidents never win anything? Not a conspiracy. And I include President Gore. Bush stole 2000.

Carter was just weak against the corporations and the CIA did him in on the Iran Contra Affair. Bush was the head of the CIA. He made the deal with the Iranians to hold the hostages until after the election. That's how he got the VP position. And a year later they got caught selling arms to Iran.

Did you hear Mitch McConnell filabusted whatever the Dems were trying to pass yesterday? Yes he has broken the record. But watch them cry about filabusters if they ever get back into power God forbid.

I notice him going overseas, pandering to terrorists and dictators, disparaging the US, and making anti-Semitic statements. A real fucking hero for the left eh, tough guy?

I thought you just said 'you' were going to win all three houses, tough guy?

Did you notice how totally avoided the point your claim was there is no difference between Bush and Romney because they shared the same political ideology as most Republicans do but when I pointed that Democrats also share the same political ideology and used the Obama/Carter example you ignored that and tried to run off in a different direction.Nope not getting away with that tonight you show us where on policy or social issues Obama is different from Carter until you can your argument falls flat.

There is no policy differences. Carter didn't lose because of his policies. He lost because he didn't stand up to the corporations and Republicans enough. Obama has. Not as much as we would like, but at least as much as Clinton. And Clinton gave in to the corporations/rich/republicans too much too. But none of this is a reason to vote for the GOP. They are the corporations/rich. They are anti middle class. I'm middle class.

I liked Carter's policies. I wished he would have won a second term. I was too young to vote but I liked him.

So you liked Bush's policies and will support Romney if he is another Bush. I see. I don't think that is a very popular position to have. Almost as popular as me saying I liked Carter. :eusa_shhh:

See, Democrats don't hide their agenda from the public and then spring it on them after they win.

Did the GOP say they were going to attack Planned Parenthood, birth control and abortion?

Did Snyder say he was going to appoint Emergency Financial Managers?

Did Paul Ryan say he was going to kill social security and medicare?

Did Scott Walker say he was going to try to get rid of Collective Bargaining?

Did Bush tell us he was going to go to war with Iraq?

Did they tell us they planned on passing Citizens United or let there be a public debate before they made their decision?

You know our positions. Stop corporations from polluting. Make the tax system fair. Bring jobs home. End oil subsodies. Reform healthcare. Cap and Trade. Pro choice. Gay rights. No war with Iran. Pro unions.

I have never I have never said he was a socialist nor have I ever said he was not a American citizen in case you were wondering so whatever.

And if you want to know how Obama is different, start a thread. But don't waste your time. I'll make this short. Tax breaks to the middle class and poor, not rich. Huge difference. Number 2, unions. And I have pointed out to you how Bush and Obama are the same already as for the differences between Bush and Romney as another poster has pointed out to you and you have chosen to ignore politicians of the same party rarely have different views be it Romney/Bush or the example given of Obama/ Carter what you have proven is that the premise behind your original post was just partisan B.S. Better luck next time.

How is Romney Different Than Bush?

I have been asking this and no one seems to be able to answer.

The great concern with Romney as president isn’t Romney, it’s the return to the WH of the usual republican suspects and conservative criminal element – the likes of Cheney, Gonzalez, and Libby. Even more horrendous is the prospect of the return of GWB-Era sycophants, re-treads, and partisan hacks that will also bring back the same failed, disastrous policies of that failed, disastrous administration.

The Nation is still recovering from the Bush fiasco; the Nation needs at least another 4 more years of recuperation.

How was adding five trillion more dollars of debt in less than four year's helping the Nation recuperate? How many more trillions in debt will we need for recuperation in the next four year's?
