How is public transportation in your area?

The public transportation here at home are buses, not like the school buses, and can seat maybe 6-8 people. We have several of them. If you live within the city limits it is $3 a person. If you live outside the city limits, its $6 a person. quite a rip off because we all pay taxes.

I also live in a very rural area...and in our county, I don't believe we have any stoplights at all. I live in the county seat, and there aren't any here....I'm thinking and I don't think there are any in the other tiny towns, either.

We have public transportation in the form of a shuttle bus, primarily for seniors but anyone can use it. It caters to seniors, though. It will take people to the dr. in different towns, shopping, to the senior meal sites in 3 or 4 towns. They're very accomodating and will go pick anyone up for anything.

All in all, we're really pretty lucky. If you need aspirin after 7 p.m. here, it's a 3 hour drive to the nearest all-night store.
