How is Obama NOT a Socialist?

People do deserve more from them since we are running the government for their benefit and extending them all kinds of favors to grease the skids of the economy. We have been promised all kinds of things if we just give them more and more, protect their monopolies, allow them to freely pollute, manipulate commodities, control our food energy and medicine, protect them from their mistakes and let them off the hook for their crimes. It's time they live up to the promises made by their lobbyists and pet politicians or we take back the gifts we have lavished on them.

Capitalists are good people by and large (and this includes MOST hardworking American business owners...including the guy who owns the local pizza joint)....

I don't know any capitalists to say they're good people, maybe they are. I did four years in the Navy. Volunteer or get drafted and maybe get shot at? No way. Forced volunteering I call it. Still, I involuntarily helped make the shipping lanes and commerce safe for capitalists like the oil companies. That was some nice socialist help corporate america got from people like me and the taxpayers. You'd think they'd at least give veterans a 10 or 15% discount at the pump? Hell no. You'd think they wouldn't want to hire politicians and lawyers and lobbyists to grease the skids for them so they wouldn't have to pay their fair share in taxes for the services they received courtesy of the armed forces and the taxpayers and people like me? Hell no.

you were in the only business the government has any real business to be in....

i just broke it down to a relateable example so you could understand what a Capitalist is......but because you cannot argue logically you must namecall.....typical of a libtard.....

You should probably make some sort of distinction between capitalism and free enterprise, if you cannot see the difference between a Wall Street corporate raider and someone who is an honest businessman then perhaps we should ease up on drug dealers and extortionists as they too accumulate wealth and are therefore capitalists.

there is a difference between honest capitalists and dishonest, extortionist ones....

if you have problems with Wall Street corporate raiders then you need to support legislation to regulate it....

It was socialism for corporations. Our oil companies especially are all over the globe. I don't believe there's anything in the constitution about protecting companies that wish to profit in other countries, especially to the point of going to war to protect these companies which we have done quite often. You don't have to thank me for my service. My service was involuntary. And I'm here to say it was an act of socialism for the very wealthy, courtesy of men of military age and the taxpayers that fund the military and these capitalists now invest great sums of money to insure that they don't have to pay for services received in the form of taxes.
