I'm not even going to mention all the "conspiracies" linking him to Marxists in his early life or his solidarity with other Socialist dictators around the world.

But how is someone who preaches redistribution and wants to further Socialize our country not a Socialist?

Obviously, the hard-core Marxists don't welcome his as one of their own. But it's not as if he can do whatever he wants like it's all hunky-dory.

"Just because he sleeps wit other men doesn't mean he's gay." :cuckoo:

If Obama and his statements makes him a socialist then republicans and their statements make them imperialist religious fascists, it's all a matter of degree. If a person is to be known by the extremes of their political philosophy then perhaps we should all run around willy-nilly yelling commie nazi socialist hyperbole while totally ignoring the real definitions of these words or the fact that not everyone is a political extremist like the dumb-asses who all too often use these terms to scare each other.

my losses have been private.

wish I could say the same for my gains.

To me, a Socialist is a person who strives to implement Socialism.

That is what I see Obama doing. He may not be an extreme Socialist, but his agenda sure seems to be inspired by it. Specially given the amount of Socialism already existing within our country; adding more of it simply adds more fuel to the fire.

When he said that, there was barely any Socialism within America.

you can't implement socialism in America in one term, or two. You have to do it incrementally.

The libs have been doing it since the great society. One tax at a time.

Spooky music with a little message about Obama's socialism:

So if Obama is ultimately getting us closer to that unimaginable fate, isn't it fair to refer to him as a Socialist?

Or is it only called for if he delivers the K.O. punch?

Yep, and Teddy was one of the original "progressives." in other words, he was a socialist. He made war on American corporations. Anyone who believes he was a believer in capitalism is terminally naive.

That's all true. "IF" he should win the majority of electoral votes and gets a second term, and tries to take over our private property rights, ( ostensibly by eminent domain ) you will have your answer and he will have our power....
