How is it that Americans can't produce a competitive bath towel?

Psycho, I suggest going to Walmart. Everything is cheap there, including bath towels. Plus, you know you are supporting hard working Americans who work in Walmarts all over the US.

:eek2: :slap:

Ummmm.....Jeff?

Walmart is the largest distributor of Chinas goods into the US at a rate of somewhere around 2/3 of all China's exports.

(that was a FRIENDLY slap, by the way. )

;)

I mean the employees who work at Walmart selling you bath towels, Chinese exports, etc. So there! :p:

(that was a friendly tongue too :D )

WOW!

I never thought I would be on the recieving end of your "friendly tongue"!

Name a type of music you need in your collection, I have much music...

You are too sweet! :) I won, I won!!!!

Something from Enya, soothing.

You all read about the class-action discrimination suit being filed against Walmart on behalf of all female employees since 1988(maybe it's '98, I think '88 though)?

Seems they were routinely passed over for promotions and were paid an average of 50 cents/hr less than men while performing higher-level jobs.

Largest class-action suit ever filed in the US.

Walmart is the 2nd largest PRIVATE employer in the US.

Hmm, I think I can do Sinead. Is that close enough?
I'll look for something "soothing."
I guess Metallica doesn't count. :D

And speaking of a billion dollars.
SBC, the largest telephone company in the country(me thinks), is about to spend 5 billion dollars over the next few years completely revamping phone and internet connectivity--high-high speed internet, video conferencing, internet phone(VOIP). Can't wait. I might have to move to Norwalk connecticut this fall just because they'll be doing a test-case there bvefore reaching a final decision on the multi-billion dollar investment. :D

a good socialist I can see. That's really the problem with you lefties; just can't stand capitalism...

SBC is getting their collective ass kicked by cable going to 3 Mbps downloads. Verizon is also getting into the market with Fiber in major cities to deliver phone, internet, and possibly TV.
