How I see it...

It's not perfect... But this is how the parties are coming across in this day and age from a economics standpoint.

Republicans = Feudalism
Democrats = Socialism
Libertarians = What America was 150 years ago.

I don't agree... I think it is not that simple
You are absolutely right... It's not that simple. That was kind of the point.

Republicans = Keep Military The Strongest in the World, Less Laws for Business, Biblical Morality
Democrats = Combine Forces with Other Countries, Laws for Business (that keep them from being too big), Compassionate Morality
Libertarians = Military only for defense, No Laws for Business,Darwinism
Well... I did stipulate economics did I not?

Republicans and Democrats each want the rights and freedoms they approve of and they want to deny the rights and freedoms they don't. The Libertarians want everyone to have every right and freedom. That idea might be more than 150 years old but it would serve us well for another 150 years if we'd only let it.

Well said. Thanks.

There is a shit load of truth to that.

Democracy in America warned us of what could happen to our Democractic Republic.

He warned us that an industrial elite could gain control over the government and erode the democractic instiutions.

He was right.

That is exactly what has happened.

And the libertarians, many very idealistically, wnat to create a libertarian utopia (flip side of a communist utopia) where all can enjoy liberty, freedom, peace, and wonderful sunsets.

However . . . libertarianism and communism share the same flaw: the refusal to recognize the nature of man. The lion will not let the lamb gambol.

Yeah, that reply really is a thread-ender. Nailed it Spot On. No need to add anything more.

Except it is not possible. You say that "The Libertarians want everyone to have every right and freedom."

You are as idealistic and stupid as Communists.

The nature of Man will not permit either system to flourish as intended.

Shoot. Just think of bigrebnc or daveman running around in a society of equals. Well, they are stupid so they would fail at everything. But . . . you get the drift.

Dems are closer to Feudalism than are Repubs; Feudalism developed out of the Roman Villa system which was the prototype for the British Manor system in England, and the Feudal system in Europe. Today their party has developed into a political "cousin" of the plantation - originally "Latifundia;" which were plantations owned by the highest ranking politicians, labored on by serfs who once had been peasant farmers but were displaced by the past policies of those same politicians. That was the model for the plantations of the old south and the model for the present day democrat party. Repubs don't want to keep people on a plantation; the dems do.

The typical Republican would like to be a capitalist of the Roman variety with less of a heavy hand by the government, a meritocracy under the rule of law.

Removing the voices of people within your own party that you disagree with is not a good way to show that. If fact... It's a piss poor way.

Passive denial is an affirmation that I am right and you are wrong. When you post 'ok' again, you admit it.

Thanks, Shelzin. It's OK you cannot refute my point about libertarianism.
