How god promoted murder in the bible

Jesus promoted slavery. It's why many Confederates have no problem with slavery today.

Book and verse?

Yeshua promoted individual behavior.

I'm assuming you're not a Christian? No where does Jesus condemn slavery.

Ephesians 6:5 NLT
Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ.

1 Timothy 6:1-2 NLT (Jesus talking to Timothy)
Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts. Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them.

Luke 12:47-48 NLT (Jesus speaking)
The servant will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty, he refused to do it. "But people who are not aware that they are doing wrong will be punished only lightly. Much is required from those to whom much is given, and much more is required from those to whom much more is given."

There was no "welfare" in Biblical times. If you could not care for yourself or your family, you could sell yourself or your family into slavery. It was done, frequently. With Rome, the government raised the taxes so much that even the "wealthy" could not pay. The punishment for not paying taxes: the "government" sold them into slavery.
I asked where slavery was "promoted", you did an avoid. What Confederates? Muslims, and some of the other religions in the east still have slaves, yet no condemnation from those that want to isolate Christians (that can argueably be held responsible for the modern age), and make them the evil ones.
Please, read the Bible. Yeshua did not encourage anyone to revolt (including slaves). Yeshua taught them how to be better people and thru that improve the lives of those around them, and their communities, and their area, and their countries, and so on and so on....

Sorry, you can't have it both ways. You are for it or against it. Choose.

Hint: "For it" is "promoting it".

You have not demonstrated the promotion of slavery from Yeshua. Talk about wanting it both ways.

1-Jesus is NOT speaking in the timothy verse you quoted, he spoke in the 4 Gospel's only.....Paul is speaking....and what you quoted is a misquote, here is the passage:

1 Timothy 6

1 All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God’s name and our teaching may not be slandered. 2 Those who have believing masters should not show them disrespect just because they are fellow believers. Instead, they should serve them even better because their masters are dear to them as fellow believers and are devoted to the welfare[a] of their slaves.

2-there are 2 words in the bible which were both interpreted in english to say ''slave''.....ONE word was for an indentured servant, the other was for what we know as slave. there were no banks to borrow money, if you owed someone money, you became an indentured servant, until you payed back your debt....to those you owed.....you worked off your debt.

3-your quote of Luke 47-49 is INCORRECT and misquoted.....this is what the verse and entire passage says, which is quite different from what you quoted...context matters...

Watchfulness

35 “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, 36 like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. 37 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. 38 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the middle of the night or toward daybreak. 39 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. 40 You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

41 Peter asked, “Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to everyone?”

42 The Lord answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time? 43 It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns. 44 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 45 But suppose the servant says to himself, ‘My master is taking a long time in coming,’ and he then begins to beat the other servants, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk. 46 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

47 “The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. 48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

I think it fairly apparent that the GOD described in the Old Testament and the GOD described in the New Testament are significantly different GODS.

One is described as a jealous god of vengence and the other described as a loving forgiving GOD.

Thanks for sharing your ignorance, Idiotec. All through the OT God speaks of Jesus and what will come to pass, and the reasons for it, and what it means.

Wish you would ask the muslims, buddahists, and hindus that question. There are not many known slaveholders that are Christian today. Yesterday, that was the accepted practice.

In THIS country...Christian slaves were held by Christian owners

How could you treat another member of your faith that way and still consider yourself to be a Christian?

Read the news for when they are "caught" abusing their "servants" (term washed to be politically correct).
Still no criticism for the cultures that currently practice slavery? Typical. Focus only on "problems" in this country while ignoring how much improved (with individual rights) over 90% of the world's countries. Selective outrage shows your display is "controlling", not "correcting".
