capacity!
In other words YES Coal emits CO2 as do cars,etc. BUT the entire CO2 emissions in the USA are consumed with 15% additional capacity of our forests/trees/etc.!

Where did you make that CLASSIC jump to conclusions Romney wants to eliminate ALL unions?

If under current environment where in closed shop states a union member CAN'T elect to have dues subtracted before they are paid.. then Yes Romney and most people that want freedom of choice are against that.

If under current environment unions' are sending 90% of their political donations to the Democrats and the member HAS NO say.. Yes Romney and all people that want people to be free to choose are against that!

So I guess if the UNIONS are not willing to let their people go unchained then Romney and his group would be against them.

Even if that were true, eliminating unions does not equate to eliminating jobs. It might even lead to higher wages for workers that actually produce product due to increased efficiency once the fat is reduced.

Conservatives do want to eliminate public sector unions, or at least eliminate collective bargaining. Hell, even FDR was against collective bargaining and striking for public sector unions.

All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. It has its distinct and insurmountable limitations when applied to public personnel management. The very nature and purposes of Government make it impossible for administrative officials to represent fully or to bind the employer in mutual discussions with Government employee organizations. The employer is the whole people, who speak by means of laws enacted by their representatives in Congress. Accordingly, administrative officials and employees alike are governed and guided, and in many instances restricted, by laws which establish policies, procedures, or rules in personnel matters.

That said, Conservatives may not see a need these days for private sector unions, but have made no effort to eliminate them, nor could they constitutionally.
