For many people their religion or beliefs are like their Native Language. Christian's speak and enforce laws of relations using the Bible, while secular or atheist types use Science and conservatives use constitutional terms for principles they believe in following.
How should we expect anyone to give up their native language for the convenience or pressures of others? Isn't it more effective to translate between systems so we can understand each other's meanings rather than reject impose and judge one system as better or worse than another. Why not hold each person or group responsible for policing their own tribe? We let populations govern their own local states under state laws. Why not have religious groups or political parties live by their own creeds and take responsibility for practicing and funding for what they preach?
