How Conservatism Killed The GOP

You talk a lot about being inbred I guess that is your way of life. So how does it feel when your sister is going down on you?

You enjoyed it so that you could suck.

"So how does it feel when your sister is going down on you?" - little red douche:evil:
I wouldn't for two reasons
I don't talk about inbred things like that bitch does
2. I don't have a sister.

I did not address you. I merely pointed out that you are an asswipe. I highlighted your quote

Pulled the party to the left? You consider the middle, left? :cuckoo:

I don't know what is sadder. Your ignorance or your stupidity?

1964 an incumbent President.

The Democrats rejected the most progressive candidates in 1968. Although Humphrey was a progressive DFLer, he was strongly aligned with liberalism. During World War II, Humphrey tried twice to join the armed forces.

1972 The Democrats elected George McGovern - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia over McCarthy and Muskie

1976 Carter over others.

1980 Carter over the Lion of Liberalism, Edward Kennedy. Carter was the incumbent President.

1984 Mondale over the others.

1988 Dukakis over others

1992 Clinton

1996 Clinton

2000 Gore

2004 Kerry

2008 Obama

------------------

none of the candidates listed were from the left wing of the DNC. None.

and btw, there is no left wing media or left wing major party. Left wing ideas get slapped down very quickly.

forest trees..hello...why for instance did clinton win a second term? Who provided a base of sppt. for your a fore mentioned candidates? And does to this day?

Why do you think Dukakis was successfully painted as a card carrier? I know what the answer is but I want to hear you say it again- ahhhh, here; because we were dummmmmmbbb and we 'bought it'....

So, do I need to remind you how primaries work? I guess so, they win by wooing the far left at primary time, they tack centrist afterward, please huh. ( and the super delegates won't allow a far lefty in or that is one that wears it on their sleeve because they know it won't float, but that doesn't stop their pick from trying to tug the country to the left, ala term one Clinton for instance).

Your problem is there are still more cons even among moderate ranks amongst the electorate than lefties and they don't buy it and see through the old switcheroo.(and no, thats not 100% see; Obama, that was different).

I see you revert to insults when you're feeling cornered, not very nice. I am civil to you, I would appreciate same.

the Democrats have to appeal to the left to get them on board. but what have they ever given the left in 50 years?

the Republicans go right because they also need to, but for the past few elections the right has been demanding they get something. The left gets shit.

the right and the left have very little support in general. most people are not fringe in their thinking.

So tell us dante what has the right been demanding they get?
Could it be a small central grovernment, based on the Constitution?

Dante, you are really out of touch with what is real and what is not. For some reason you think that the republican party started out as progressive but turned conservative.

I have heard this from the likes of Keith Olbermann. People that the country has move right for the last 100 years and he thinks that is why this country is turning to shit. You are so blind to reality.

I'm going to tell you this once. The country has had the "center" moving left for the last 100 years and that is a fact. They push the buttons on ideas and then it becomes mainstream after a couple of decades and they move it left again. People 100 years ago would have never imagined a Dept of Edu or DHS or the EPA....

Kieth is stealing my material? harumph! I'm calling my agent.

meanwhile, back at the ranch: people 100 years ago were living in a different world. gawd, you're a dope.

I think your more delusional the Ed Shultz. The vast right wing conspiricy has taken over the world and will rule with....with ..... a LIMITED WORLD GOVERNMENT

Hey stupid.........you stated it was worth the deficits.

I'm telling you as someone who served during that time, it wasn't. It damn near broke the Navy.

I served during Reagan's tenure, in fact before and after.

the bulking up of all branches during the Reagan years was a double edged sword, aside from the deficits, I agree. We had a spike in training accidents etc. as cadre was stretched thin.

BUT, the 'worth' that has to be calculated too, was spending the soviets into the poor house which helped push them over the edge.

That's why socialism will never work. Russia had it and got the shit kicked out of them
Thanks Ronald Reagan

no one of any importance has tried to push socialism in America

You are a fucking liar. You posted the question. It doesn't matter if you wrote the question you quoted it. So you were addressing me bitch.

How The Conservatism Killed The GOP

1. If the GOP of today were the GOP of our fathers and grandfathers, all of us would be better off. The GOP of old had great liberals in it's ranks. Most all the great past achievements the GOP crows about today were liberal ideas made policy and law.

2) Over the past 3 or 4 decades the conservatives in the GOP have chased out most every liberal in it's midst. They no longer have a voice representing the people. They have a voice representing the conservative fringe.

3) Today the conservative Tea Party movement is looking to finish the job started in seriousness under the reign of Ronald Reagan, the great communicator who rarely kept a campaign promise.

The GOP is not longer great or grand.

They are about to sweep the upcoming elections. Does that sound dead to you?

In case you missed it I already admitted I mis-read your post. I apologize for referring you to a dictionary. The definition he posted just shows how right I was about the media changing the definition of words. I can show a much closer resemblance to the Nazi party for the progressives than anyone can make for the Tea Party. That was the point I was trying to make. Since you made no such allegations, again, I apologize.

There really is a lot of hate on this board.

calm down mary. laughing at you is not a form of hate.

Agreed. It was more of a general observation of the tone at this website.

Here most people are looking for their Jerry Springer moment,

carry on

Now here I think you are wrong. The Tea Party us actually the liberal part of the country trying to be heard. Liberalism in the Classic sense of course, something completely absent from the political left. There are a few so called social conservatives trying to hijack it but so far the Tea Party has taken no stance on abortion, gays or any other of the social right pet issues.

They've backed some pretty extreme social conservatives, like Sharron Angle and Christine "I'm Not a Witch" O'Donnell.

It is your quote. You used it to refer to another member's family. You're a liar and a coward?

go figure

If you mean state ownership of business you are correct. No rational person believes it can work. They have reverted to a form of fascism (this was what I was getting at earlier) where private business is dictated to by the government. No rule of constitutional law, just looting as they please.

The government involved in people's sex lives? Religious views forced on the rest of us?

are you always this clueless? The GOP is dead. What is inhabiting it's corpse is a vile thing.

The sweep you are wetting your little panties over is a usual event. No big deal.

get it dumbo?

I agree, if they don't have a libertarian minded candidate they should stay out. I haven't been following those two races because I don't like the candidates much. Do you know which agenda they are running on? I am curious to know.

You are living in a dream world here. The government bailed out private big biz and will be pulling out it's stake as the business pay back the money. You not only misrepresent things, your hysteria over it is distasteful.

there is no form of fascism on the part of the Us government. There is within the GOP.

The party's majesty steadily declines ever since Reagan came to office. Look at the leadership: committed to unregulated capitalism, morally and spiritual and often illegally less than fit for their jobs. The Dems have their problems, but the GOP has steadily been shooting holes into the bottom of the boat, and it is steadily taking on water.

you're a moron. I'm on record as saying I wanted the government to be in the hands of both parties. I voted for McCain.

D'oh!

The GOP is not a partyy worthy of respect anymore. And sadly, I believe this is the case with the Democratic party in many ways. But if it is a matter of degrees, the GOP far out paces the DNC on becoming putrid and corrupted by ideological purity.
