RW's gladly sign a pledge NOT to raise taxes ... so there's another reason a balanced budget will never exist.
Republicans will CUT taxes and grow the economy. They will cut taxes on corporations and get them to stay in country and create jobs. Democrats will raise taxes on corporations, cause them to leave the country and stifle job creation.
You have to remember that JFK would not fit into the Democratic party of today!

A balanced budget is not necessarily a good thing. It sure sounds nice and simple. But....it is anything but.

How about they get it under control for a while? pay down the debt. Stop paying $450bil interest on the debt every year. How could that part be bad for anyone? That is 1/2T dollars to fund necc. stuff.
