How can anyone be optimistic about The USA's chances in 2012?

I mean we have no great future leaders in the wings.
Jobs will still suck.
The debt will be more massive than it is now.
Healthcare needs will still not be met.
We will still be in Iraq, etc.
Terrorism will still be an issue.

And that is my optimistic view.

B/c it beats being pessimistic.

Once you go from being optimistic into realistic you must gird yourslef from becoming a pessimsit. B/c once that happens, you've quit.

And quit is a Four letter word.
Love is also a four letter word. And so is word for that matter.

If things pretty much suck realism does suck. And that is not being a quitter.

We need to stop voting for these globalists who are pimped be the corporate media.

More like the governments pimps corporations.....

Look at GE and Obama, or Boeing for that matter...

They've been promised survival if they play ball if their plans of an authoritarian government were to succeed.

Then you got their rivals er competitors that are being regulated and taxed out of business because they're not for the take...

Its not all corporations....

True, there are a lot of good, honest corporations but they are not the ones who control the media.

The journalists who write the propaganda are just as guilty as the fools who sponsor it..

They're both on the same page... They're both guilty because they both want the same outcome..

You got people like Soros saying; "promote my ideas or you're axed".

I think the most damaging concept embraced by America has been:
If it is good for business it is good for America.

I mean we have no great future leaders in the wings.

Government interference impedes economic progress..
Yeah....right.....the Government is forcing companies to sit on their piles o' ca$h!!!

Is it not their money to sit on if they choose?

But I thought The Obama was the answer...A few months after his election I saw a post from one of the Libs here asking when Obama's image was going to be added to the side of Mt.Rushmore.And the interesting thing is he was serious....We will need leaders to get us out of this mess and not politicians whose only concern is in getting re elected. :(

I think the most damaging concept embraced by America has been:
If it is good for business it is good for America.

That may have been the case at one time when American businesses provided good paying jobs to American workers who then bought the products that the American businesses made and kept the whole economc machine churning at full speed.

But that was back in the days before globalization and the never ending quest for cheap labor.

Sadly, those days are gone.

If we are lucky enough to gain the senate and the potus then I think businesses will have a much less bleak outlook on things and slowly begin to rebuild our foundation.
Ah, yes......as-long-as "The Game" is fixed....in those gutless-fucks' favor, maybe then they'll start taking some calculated-risks.

Sorry, pal.....they're not OWED a 110% GUARANTEE of MAXIMUM-PROFITS....short-term....they way THEY prefer.....

I'm sorry could you repeat that without the gradeschool crayons?
