How can anyone be optimistic about Obama's Chances in 2012?

When an average of several Ranging Polls show only 29% of Americans think the country is on the right track almost 3 years into his first term.

We just look at the republican field..

Will you all ever learn to stop ripping on the president when your own future looks sooo bleak?

Keep looking, cuz your nasty vagina is gonna smell of Democrat suck here in 2012.

Wow, way to be a vulgar jackass. Negged.

Well, as much I knew about it Obama got elected in 2008 and since that he had a variety of domestic and international issues -- the economy, health care, two wars and national security, to name just a few.

According to a study, he has made about 502 specific campaign promises out of which Obama has fulfilled 91, can claim partial success on 33, has broken 14 and is stalled on 87. About 275 of his promises are still in the works.

I admit that he is not working as he promised and as we all expect from him, but he had taken some hardcore decisions. I think expectations are high and working is not in good speed but its better after what Bush left us.

LOL, hardcore decisions...Please Obama, STOP MAKING HARDCORE decisions. we all would be BETTER OFF..

The way things are going anyone can run and beat Obama.

Unfortunately, Obama can't shake off or spin his way out of the reality that is his presidency... debt, inflation, massive unemployment, worthless dollar, three wars, no growth, stagnant markets, ineffectual or non-existent foreign policy, corruption, crony capitalism, etc.

yep, but don't think they won't try.

I can easily be optimistic about President Obama's re-election chances, in spite of how things might look right now,

by recalling that in March of 1983, Gallup had Mondale beating Reagan by 6 points.

Well, anyone who can ignore high gas prices, high food prices, inflation, high unemployment and a bunch of other problems he would be a shoe in.
....Kinda like the future-Teabaggers did.....in '08......

January 13, 2008

"The recession-deniers were muzzled by a horrendous last two weeks of December, and the gloom-and-doomers are now out in force. Their key arguments:

* Plummeting housing will now drag down the rest of the economy.

*The "bad debt" problem is not just "sub-prime" folks who should never have have taken out mortgages in the first place. It includes credit card debt, "high quality" mortgages, car loans, and other leverage that have recently become a consumer way of life.

*Pressure on consumers is leading to a reduction in consumer spending (70% of economy), which, in turn, will lead to a reduction in spending by companies that sell stuff to consumers.

*The question now is not "will there be a recession?" but "how bad will it get?"

*The most optimistic forecasts in a NYT gloom-and-doom round-up are for three crappy quarters, regardless of what the Fed does. Less optimistic forecasts suggest that we are, well, screwed.

After blowing the last downturn, we've been worried this one since last summer (see below). We also suspect that, given the importance of housing to the economy and debt to consumer spending, the recession will be deeper and more prolonged than people think."

Just because people think the country is heading in the wrong direction does not mean they blame Obama. Many people realize that one of the main reasons we are heading in the direction we are is due to the previous administration and their policies. Ships don't turn on a dime. It takes time.

As for 2012, I think the smartest, most dangerous combination the GOP could do is Romney/Bachman, as that would be a white guy with deep pockets and a woman that is loved by the Tea Party. But even this one can't be beat Obama, because the Evangelicals won't go for Romney and the Backman is certifiably crazy.
