How about getting rid of the stupid "right wing" v "left wing" mentality football game, stop comparing the actions of your employees to other employees with some stupid R or D label on their political tights, and start using the Constitution as the benchmark once again, for how this Republic is to be governed?

This isn't about agreeing or disagreeing with me or anyone else. It is about taking a look in the proverbial mirror, and coming to the ugly realization, that you are either part of the solution or part of the problem in this Republic.

If the employers of this Republic won't do their job, the employees won't.

Do you want to be part of the solution and get this Republic back to what it should be from a constitutional perspective, or do you want to rant and rave like your employees won't do their job, while you sit on the sidelines playing smack each other around on the internet?

I'm a retired guy and I just love spending part of my day telling liberal Democraps what a dumbass they really are. They don't seem to be getting the message and for some reason think they are supreme to anybody else. That Constitution we all love and adore? Washington and the nest of vipers up there doen't believe it's worth the paper it's printed on. Like you, I think Glenn Beck is right on the money so let's see how far this can take us.

BGG, you're talking about getting people to stop playing their favorite game.
Although if we could start going back to the Constitution instead of focusing on partisan bullshit, then we could have all those enjoyable arguments over what the Constitution really means. ;)

I have seen enough of your posts to know you genuinely believe in what you type and do not play partisan politics. And while I support your efforts, our country is so far removed from what the Constitution was originally drawn up for, I do not see any chance of truly "going back".

Congratulations, you just posted a whole paragraph that had absolutely nothing to say.

Insulting people on the internet may be fun for some. But, doing the "my party isn't as crappy as your party" game isn't going to get the job done.

There are a lot of people that read the board, that are looking for the truth, encouragement, help, or camaraderie. If all they see if the aforementioned, that isn't beneficial to them or anyone else. The same can be said locally.

What motivation is there for the employees to get their act together, when they see the employers doing the same stupid stuff?

"We the People" elected the current president and Congress to do a job...

Namely fix the mess that the republicans did to this country over eight painful years.

Does that mean we just stop trying? Men and women have given their very lives for this Republic, They gave their all. If we don't give our all, we make their sacrifice meaningless. We show contempt for freedom and liberty if we give in and give up.

You are 100% correct. HOWEVER, just as our society has changed, causing necessary Amendments to the Constitution, the people fighting and their causes have also changed. Can you imagine blacks voluntarily fighting for our country in WWII if they were still slaves as they had been during our Civil War? There simply is NO way to go back to what the Constitution originally meant, nor for whom it was originally meant. Does that make sense?

That is true. I have made threads and posts like this before on various sites. I am going to keep it up, until people start listening. We don't have to hit rock bottom like some drug addict, before taking a positive step forward.

I truly wish people would realize that freedom and liberty has nothing to do with political parties and any allegiance thereto.

If we don't stand for freedom and liberty, who will?

OP, libtards need to vilify a group to distract everyone from their own communist/socialist plans and goals. They follow "Rules For Radicals" as their bible and that book clearly outlines and exposes the tactics that got Obama elected.

To ask libtards to not group the opposition together and label them is asking libtards to pass up the chance to deflect from themselves. They would sooner stop breathing than start insisting that we all just get along.

I have to go sing Kumbaya now.

While I agree with the sentiment, I'm largely a pragmatist. People aren't hacks because they care about constitutional interpretation, or the meaning of government, or the pace and direction of human progress, or of the scope and depth of civil liberties or the nature of concepts like "freedom" and "liberty". They're hacks because they see politics as a game and themselves as the cheerleaders. Or maybe the water boy. How does one go about changing that?

This is the kind of stuff I am talking about. You are part of the problem. Nothing wrong with standing your ground and doing your best to present your case in a logical constitutional manner. That is how it should be. But, parading around the internet acting impudent doesn't get the message across. If anything, people tune posts like your out. Instead of possibly helping someone learn something new about this Republic without all the spin, they see you as part of the drama and part of the problem. Like the employees, they want nothing to do with that song and dance anymore.
