How 2nd Amend rights led to freedom for the Egyptian people

So, are we all supposed to gather around your pulpit while you preach about Egypt never firing a shot, that democracy is right around the corner.....somewhere in between sharia law, the brotherhood, al quada? And how disgusting, backwards, and vile we are for having the second amendment?

OTOH, we all saw how the peaceful protest in Tienanmen Square worked out.

Think how much quicker the situation would have been resolved if all those people were armed

The mostly non violent demonstrations led the ruling entities of Egypt to act, the military avoided massive blood shed by giving Mubarak a gold watch and a retirement edict,,, now they will in the tradition of Egyptions hold elections,,, with prequalified candidates,,, qualified by the military who have all the guns,,, Pharoah still rules, it's Egypt.

who says Egypt has freedom, yet?

People forget that Mubarak, and his VP were both Military guys. The military essentially runs the country.

The military pretty much is made up of conscripts...or "The People". If you'd been paying attention after Mubarak released his thugs on to the streets the military stepped in to protect the protesters, who kept up their pledge of non-violence.

Yes, because then the government would have had solid case for open and violent suppression of the violent thugs- using the full might of the military

But.....but

Second amendment remedies are the answer to everything. The answer to violence is more guns
