No matter if Boehner can get his unruly minions to do his bidding, the markets say that a short-term fix is < desirable. Leader Reid (D) also said a short-term bill would be DOA in the Senate for that reason.

Reid will approve the measure, because he will be blamed for turning down the eleventh hour bill. This is all political theater for the next couple of days.
