House of Representatives say "Screw the voters!!!!"

Only the Reps who voted against the bill. Obviously, the voters still love Democrats.

Wonder how long they will love the Dems when this bill hits em in the wallet? Don't forget 47% of Americans don't pay taxes at all so they will get a free ride, as usual paid for by us taxpayers. I also wonder what little surprises are in this peice of shit. Like taxes and cuts. Oh yeah. Lets let Govt run healthcare.

Hope the Senate can see that writing thats all over the walls, the House sure didn't.

They're not saying "screw the voters", they're saying....

"This one's for you all you people whose votes we bought"....and "This one's for you, you illegal aliens....you won't be illegal much longer, hang in there".

They're saying SCREW YOU to the people who *didn't vote for them*. THAT is to whom they're saying screw you.

You go Jeny. Couldn't agree more. We taxpayers getting screwed one more time. Funny how they say its for the American People. The American people want reform, not a takeover by Govt. Also kinda funny how they exempted themselves from this primo healthcare plan. That kinda says it all for me.

Obviously this is what they are saying to the majority of people in this country...

Health Care Reform - Rasmussen Reports™

You are trying to take a complex problem and turn it into a "simple" problem. Republicans do that. Because they know how to speak "simpleton". That's the only language most know how to speak.

Read the entire article and depending on how the question is phrased directs the "answer".

The vast majority of American want health care reform - that is clear and "simple".

reform does not inherently mean government run healthcare or that anyone is fucking owed their personal care (which is their personal responsibility) at the expense of someone else....

LISTEN CLOSELY!!!!!!!! EVERYONE WANTS REFORM!!!!!!!!!!

But the Government screws up everything they touch! Give the people their own tax money back and then they will be able to afford health care....

If the toilet in your bathroom stops flushing well, do you rip out the fixtures, rip out the flooring, the joists and start all over again with a whole new bathroom?

No?

Didn't think so.

Americans want the toilet *repaired*, not replaced down to the joists.

FIX the things in our healthcare that don't work, don't blow it up and start all over again from the ground up. Starting over from scratch just *isn't* necessary.

The vast majority of Americans are also satisfied with their present insurance and health care. Everyone perceives that things can be better.
This bill however does none of that, and in fact does the opposite of whatever Obama promised.

Given the amount of the opposition to this that is from representatives in the pocket of the insurance lobby, it's ironic you mention 'bought' votes.

Given that most people's healthcare won't be meaningfully affected by this bill it is ridiculous to characterize it as starting over from scratch.

Republicans said screw you to the thousands of people in their districts without healthcare and the thousands who are struggling to pay for what they have.

Republicans did do a good job of protecting the interests of the insurance industry. It should pay dividends when it comes to election funding

You guys dont get it.
The insurance industry supported this legislation because of the thousands of people who would have to buy insurance from them.
Look at the big interests lined up to support this bill, AARP, AMA, SEIU, Pharmaceutical lobby, etc etc.
You guys think you've stuck it to Corporate America. You are dreaming. Corporate America just fucked you in the ass.

You're right if the insurance lobby kills the public option. That's been my fear all along.

The problem is that an awful lot of those 47% will have to begin paying for their own insurance because of this and how many of them will not be able to afford it? So now if they were not paying taxes before now and if they don't have an employer that will pay for their insurance, now they are going to be forced to buy insurance (some will get affordability credits but most wont) whether they can afford it or not and if they can't they will be fined and imprisoned or have to go without other basic necessities. That is if the 8% and I imagine soon to rise penalty does not put their employer out of business... then what the hell are they going to do?

Who the hell is thinking about the little guys that are barely making it on their own? Congress sure as hell is not!

Of that 47% ( please post the data to support this.) how many are millionaires?

What is so blind about your post is that right now you are paying for all those uninsured folks who go to the ER etc. That's Okay?

The majority of Americans are in favor of a Public Option.

I wonder how long the insurance companies will be around when they have to compete with the Govt?? When companies decide to pay the penalty and dump everyone in the public system. No more insurance companies then, just the incompetant Govt to run healthcare. Who will be the evil giant then???

Someone has either forgotten their critical thinking skills, or never developed them....
