House GOP sending Obama a message on health repeal

It would die in the Senate or get vetoed by Obama.

Yea, article covers that, BUT THIS'LL help PROVE that we're serious bout the campaign promises made bout federal spending, government overreach, etc.

Obamcare has NEVER had majority approval. The public and electorate will appreciate this charge by us. Even tho we can't stop it totally, we CAN choke of funding for parts of it.

Via con Dios Boehner.

Too stupid for words.

I don't think it ever covered everybody with full free medical coverage. While the Retards try to defund it, the Dems can add more programs to it.

thats one of the biggest repub talking points. they think as soon as the law goes into effect everyone gets free health care no matter what. we all know this to be untrue, but they still push this as well as the whole death panel fear as well.

#1, Rasmussen is a joke.
No he isn't. He has just as much credibility as any other regarded pollster.

#2, those who want it repealed, want it replaced with something else; Not just repealed and reverted. That would just be stupid.
I agree. I also agree that our health care system needs reform. I just think we're going about it incorrectly. Rewarding fat cats, which is what this current bill does, is not the solution. Neither is single payer.

Oh, and if you think the status quo health care sytem is what a free market health care system would look like, try again.

Interestingly, the GOP's campy fascination with HCR and their never-ending smear campaign may ultimately pave the way for a single payer system.

Remember, when you talk about "Not having majority approval," at least as many disapproved because it didn't go far enough, as disapproved because they thought it went too far.

Repealed in favor of status quo ante? Not a snowball's chance in hell. Repealed in favor of single payer? Possible, helped along by GOP fearmongering. Damned if that wouldn't be the irony of the century.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Voters shows - for the second week in a row - that 60% favor repeal of the national health care law. This includes 46% who Strongly Favor repeal. Thirty-six percent (36%) oppose repeal of the law, with 27% who are Strongly Opposed.

Support for repeal has ranged from 50% to 63% in weekly tracking since March of last year.

Seventy-six percent (76%) of voters with health insurance now rate their coverage as good or excellent. Only four percent (4%) describe it as poor.

Looks like status quo is lookin good. Wake up dude, the suicidal socialism you speak of will very likely NEVER happen here.

Try moving to France, or Germany, etc. You'll be happier there probably, and won't be called out, exposed as liar, and pwned in debates like this either.

1. You're attempts @ deflection FAIL.

2. Proof. As I just proved, they LIKE the status quo, OR they want a far less reaching, more free market oriented approach. Either way, they fail to back the socialism you want, and don't back your argument.

Try again.

"The Status Quo" is simply not acceptable. Medical costs are soaring and it's basically because of the system we have. These HMOs were Nixon's idea and they've never really worked correctly. And they've gotten worse since they went public. Sure..people are making money..but is that what we want at the end of the day for our health care system? Spotty and expensive service while those providing it get paid for premium service? Do we want people cut from the Health Care system arbitarily..as in..when they get sick? Do we want "emergency room care"...when people finally get helped..when it's basically to late in alot of cases?

No, it won't be "Free Market" until we resolve to actually deny care to those who will never be able to afford their bills... Something I still haven't found anyone on here to say they would support. Whaddya think, (S)pineless1? Wanna be the first?

Your deflection is mighty, but still leads you to FAIL.

I reiterate, move to France, or somewhere in Europe dude. America just doesn't seem like it's for you.

Sorry this aint workout for ya.....well not really.

WASHINGTON – Eager to show who's now in charge, the House's new Republican majority plans to vote to repeal President Barack Obama's landmark health care overhaul before he even shows up in their chamber to give his State of the Union address.

Though full repeal is a longshot — the House vote would be just the first, easiest step — they'll follow up with dozens of attempts to hack away at what they derisively call "Obamacare."

The GOP begins the short campaign to prove what asses they are and how little they care for the American Citizen. That is, unless the Citizens net worth is above 7 figures.

You missed the Republican Health Care Plan, "Hurry up and Die".

The Republicans showed their values in the vote on the First Responders Health Care Bill. They care nothing at all about the working American, except as a source of labor. And there, their concern is the cheaper the better. This must be continually pointed out as they try to prevent the little that the current Health Care Bill does.

all the GOP cares about is maximizing profits, and health care brings huge profits which then gets funneled into their campaigns. plain and simple.

Yeah....they've CHANGED THEIR MIND!!!!!

"Republicans' deficit reduction platform, which may have helped catapult them into the majority, is about to run headlong into a hard reality: Many of their key policy goals will increase the deficit dramatically.

To get around this fact, they've included measures in their new rules package to exempt some of their biggest legislative priorities from deficit consideration. Among the exceptions, which the House is likely to consider in the 112th Congress, are the health care repeal bill (scheduled for a vote a week from Wednesday), the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts, an AMT patch, extending the estate tax, and more."

What a Wonderful Legacy that will be.....

There's going to come a time when all of us are going to realize that the state of our country is so bad that the constant bickering of Dem and Republican isn't getting us anywhere.

We will have to forget the party and start working together. And the most important issue will not be healthcare, but the economy. Health care, Abortion, gay rights what ever your lightning point will have to take a back seat and we will just have to get a sinking ship out of the water.

Let's all be colleagues and stop battling and work for solutions for our primary problem...the economy and getting out of debt! Think Iceland. Think Greece. Think US.
