"House Democrats are lashing out at the White House, venting long-suppressed anger over what they see as President Obama's lukewarm efforts to help them win reelection -- and accusing administration officials of undermining the party's chances of retaining the majority in November's midterm elections.

In recent weeks, a widespread belief has taken hold among Democratic House members that they have dutifully gone along with the White House on politically risky issues -- including the stimulus plan, the health-care overhaul and climate change -- without seeing much, if anything, in return. Many of them are angry that Obama has actively campaigned for Democratic Senate candidates but has done fewer events for House members.

The boiling point came Tuesday night during a closed-door meeting of House Democrats in the Capitol. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) excoriated White House press secretary Robert Gibbs's public comments over the weekend that the House majority was in doubt and that it would take "strong campaigns by Democrats" to avert dramatic losses.

"What the hell do they think we've been doing the last 12 months? We're the ones who have been taking the tough votes," Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. (N.J.) said in an interview Wednesday."
Fuck 'em.

Where've these clowns been, when it came time to defend their votes???? When it came time to DEFEND President Obama's efforts towards (what's BEEN) HISTORIC-LEGISLATION, to-date....where were these Reps????

These Reps put MUCH-more effort into AVOIDING any criticism of Dead-O-Heads & Teabaggers, rather than taking-ON-those-whiners......and, now they expect SUPPORT from Obama?????

Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr.??????? Never HEARD o' ya'......and, I'M in Pennsylvania!!!!

These Reps DESERVE to go-down-in-FLAMES!!!! Common-knowledge has always suggested...for VOTERS...that (merely) voting is not-enough; that you have to (actually) support/promote what/who you voted-for!!!! When that time CAME....which was ALWAYS....where were these Reps?????

****

Case-in-point:
"Pascrell and Pelosi were the only Democrats to address the meeting. But interviews with more than 10 lawmakers and senior aides, from liberal and conservative districts, made it clear that scores of House Democrats at the gathering shared Pascrell's and Pelosi's dissatisfaction. Most of those interviewed did not want to be quoted by name criticizing the president."

If the Democratic Party NEEDED gutless-weenies.....we'd make more-of-an-effort to Draft John Boner, Eric Cantor, Mike Pence & Mitch McConnell!

Obama had to fight for their votes. We've had Dems in the senate hem hawing around trying to get the best bang for their state. Iow, selling their votes.

They haven't been dutiful. Obama has been successful only because he is fighting for his issues himself.

Then they are complaining because Obama isn't fighting for them to win their own campaigns? Whatever.

The common-perception (per the Media) was that Dems (who're actively-running, for re-election) would prefer Obama didn't campaign-for-them.

Either, the Media got it totally-WRONG....or....with all o' Obama's SUCCESS, with HISTORICAL LEGISLATIVE-WINS, those apprehensive-Dems are RUNNIN'-LIKE-HELL to JUMP-ON THE BANDWAGON!!!!!

Either way......it's Republicans who're feeling a lil' apprehensive (about 2010), now!!!!

Obama should do for the House Dems what he did for John Corzine and the Kennedy Seat.

Ah, yes ... nevermind the fact that Coakley didn't even try to run a campaign until she realized it was too late and that Corzine would have lost to a corpse no matter who campaigned for him.

Kerry on with your history revision, it's what the Frank's of the world do best.

I guess representing your district gets in the way occassionally. Advancing programs without public support will catch up to you. Glad some of these idiots have made their true colors known. Now we can vote them out this fall.

Do you suppose the Dems are just waking up to the fact that the president couldn't care less about their future, only that of a radical and corrupt socialist agenda?? Doh! "We are going to fundamentally transform the United States of America", guy. Barry Hussein Obama

"I have often thought that if a rational Fascist dictatorship were to exist, then it would choose the American system"....Noam Chomsky

He's a little-busy, presently, putting THE FEAR O' GOD into the banking-industry!!!!!

July 15, 2010

"Wall Street appears to have beaten Washington to the punch.

While lawmakers enter the home stretch on regulatory reform with Thursday's Senate vote, the financial industry has already started to shake up how it does business ahead of the proposed new rules.

Just last week, Wells Fargo (WFC, Fortune 500) said it planned to shutter its more than 600 Wells Fargo Financial stores across the country and announced it was no longer going to make mortgage loans to people without stellar credit.

And on Tuesday, Citigroup (C, Fortune 500) said it had struck an agreement to transfer the management of part of its private equity business to outside parties StepStone Group and Lexington Partners.

Neither Wells nor Citigroup acknowledged that the moves were prompted by the proposed legislation which is expected to be signed into law by President Obama as early as next week.

But analysts suggest they could mark the first wave in a series of divestitures and business closings as new rules for the banking industry take effect."

The Speaker of the House knew even then, what was coming to America...and didn't most of us?

Uh huh. It's called the CrusaderFrank factor. He has an unusual kind of spin.. It's fairly obvious to all that it's really spin. :)

The congressional lefties in the party are unhappy that their programs are being moved to the center.

They will get over it.
