A NEW chilli sauce goes on sale today that is so hot it could KILL.

Ultra-concentrated “16 Million Reserve” is the hottest science can make.

The sauce is 30 times hotter than the spiciest pepper and 8,000 times more fiery than Tabasco.

Diners must sign a disclaimer recommending “protective gloves and eye wear” — but even sweating testers in safety gear were blinded by tears for 30 minutes.

Just 999 bottles of it are on sale at £105 each.

Medical experts fear it could kill asthmatics or hospitalise a user who touches a sensitive part of the body afterwards.

It is made of pure capsaicin, the chemical that makes peppers “hot”. It takes tons of peppers to make 1lb of capsaicin.

Creator Blair Lazar, 35, specialises in “extreme food” in New Jersey, US.

After trying it, he said: “It’s like having your tongue hit with a hammer. Man, it hurt.”

The sauce is named after its score on the chilli heat measure, the Scoville Unit.

Reserve scores 16 million units, while a Red Savina, the world’s spiciest pepper, measures just 570,000.

I have Dave's Insanity and Scorned Woman at home.

Both will light you up!

I will avoid this stuff though. If it can melt paint off a car, I try to stay away.

I love spicy foods, but this is nuts! The hottest sauce I have ever had was some homemade sauce the owner of a hole in the wall bar on Jost Van Dyke in the BVI. That stuff was so hot, felt like you had blisters in your mouth afterwards! We bought a couple of bottles and brought it home with us. One got broken a year ago and thrown away, the other is going on 6 years old and still hotter hell. We usually just use it to spice up our homemade salsa! It's too hot for anything else!!

DISTILLED ****ING CAPSAICAN?!?!?!?! ARE THEY INSANE?!?!?!?!

That crap could literally burn a hole in your stomach. That's nuts.

Plus the whole idea of spending $270 or £105 a bottle is excruciating to me. This is like spending $150 for a half pound of coffee that has recently been rodent poop (I am not kidding, there is a type of coffee they sell that has run its course through a rodent before being "harvested").

I don't like it so hot that it takes away from the taste of the food - Dave's Insanity is a good example. Dip your fork in it and be careful..it will hurt you.

Scorned Woman has a "flavor" to it - some of the best around.

Only one thing more stupid than fruit cake..and that's food that is too hot to eat.
What's the point?

It is very subjective. As a child I could not eat food as spicy as I do now because I couldn't taste the flavor, I could only suffer from the spice. Nowadays the food I eat would have been long ago rejected by myself. It isn't because I am more "manly" than before, just that I have grown a taste for the different spices.

Subjective? This stuff? Nahh, it's pure heat...let me know when you taste it, I'd like to have your subjective opinion. :poke:

Nah, I won't be eating this stuff at all. I was talking subjective about the level of spice that makes it tasteless and painful only.
