Honorable opposition or dishonorable?

Notice how WryBOY absolutely REFUSES to acknowledge Van Jones and Obama's links to him.
Typical lib.
See no evil, hear no evil so, there must not be any evil!
LMAO!

Oh, vey. The GOP are whiners because the are out of power. The Dems were whiners when they were out of power. The stoopidcons here always whine because they have no power.

Let's move on.

Hey... That's great...

Friends, this is the 150th post of this idiot that I've read... and it is essentially the same post I read on post number one...

She's an imbecile with no discerning redeeming qualities... As such this idiot is heading STRAIGHT TO IGNORE!

Notice how Wicked Jester absolutely refuses to acknowledge Ken Lay or Jack Abramoff and Bush's links to them.
The issue Chef, is insurance reform.
(by the way, rumor around here is Lincecum is hurt. Heard anything? Giants have a press conference set for about now).

The Grand Old Party is now just the "Old Party"

Out of touch, bitter and longing for the good ole days

Lay and Abramoff weren't anti-american communist pieces of shit like Van Jones is and, Obama is fully proving to be.
The issue IS insurance reform. The same reform that most people are proving to be against. Particularly that god damn public option.
Obama screwed up when he tried to sneak that joke of a bill under our noses. It's ended up being a huge mistake on his part. He actually thinks the american people are stupid, well, he's quickly found out that he won't get away with that shit. No more than we are going to allow him to have dirty lil' communist dirt bags an arms reach away from him, even though he is proving to be a communist dirt bag himself. Beck and Hannity are great americans for exposing Obama and his cronies as to what they truly are. And, that exposure has only just begun. That my friend, is a great thing for this country indeed. We must ensure that a dirty anti-american like Barack Hussein Obama, and his muttley anti-american wife, NEVER occupy that great white house EVER AGAIN!

BTW, haven't heard that about Lincecum. I'll have to check out sportscenter tonight. That will be a major blow to their wild card hopes. I hate seeing teams being taken out of contention due to injury. Even if it is the Giants.
Also, it looks like Thome is nothing more than a lame duck himself. I had a feeling that was going to happen. Oh well, I believe the Dodgers signed him for the league minimum, so, a quick release may be in order. We'll see.

No, just blood sucking crooks.

Amazing rant chef; too bad you weren't around during the red scare in the 50's. Just think, you might have become the private chef to McCarthy and gotten personal with J. Edgar himself. LOL
Sounds as if Lincecum has a sore back; I suspect its a ruse so he can pitch against the Colorado and the Bums nest week. BTW they start Bumgarner tonight, it'll be his first trip to the show. He was hardly touched by hitters in A, AA and AAA (9-1; 1.92 ERA @AAA Fresno).

It seems the Republican establishment is focused on bringing the Obama Administration down - no matter what the consequences. At a critical time in our nations history, it seems we, as a people, ought to pull together and not apart.
Yet many of you (those who post on this forum) choose to continue the attack everything done or suggested by the new administation.
What bothers me is that no counter proposals are offered and the attacks on Obama are often personal and nearly all are emotion laden.
I don't support President Obama in lockstep, and would welcome honest and reasoned debate on the issues facing our nation. Unfortunately, there seems to be no honorable opposiition on the right.

Define honorable oppostion.

It seemed OK for the left to call Bush names, ridicule his speeches, investigate every single thing he did but when the shoe is on the other foot....now all of a sudden it's "unAmerican", "dishonorable" and unpatriotic to question the President and his administration's blatantly socialist policies?

Funny how all of a sudden you sound like a neocon making an argument in favor of Bush just 2 years ago.

and Obama has admitted himself on several occasions he has NO PLAN for healthcare, no bill!.......now all of a sudden, the Democrats want counterproposals from the Republican caucus so they can make fun of them and distract the Nation from the total lack of ideas, other than government control of everything, from the left?

So basically the OP is mad because he has and will continue to kiss Obama's ass and we won't get in line behind him.

It's not about what he might do it's about what he is damn well trying to do. If you think as it is currently constituted in the house bill that this so called public option isn't going to put private insurers out of business within a decade you are clearly kidding yourself.

If you think cap and trade as currently passed by the house isn't going to raise energy costs by a huge amount you are completely delusional.

Lay and Abramoff had links to damn near everyone in Washington and Lay had far better links to the Clinton whitehouse than he did to the Bush white house. It was also the Bush Justice department that jailed both of them.

Pee Pee,
Made port safely, always a good thing.
Honorable Opposition, defined: Me.
Of course I disagreed with almost everything Bush&Co said and did, but I generally referred to the president as "President Bush" or "Mr. Bush"; though on occassion as "W" or "Bush". I never made comments about "W"'s wife or children - negative or otherwise.
On his policies, foreign and domestic, I believed, and said I believed (and still believe) he was the most incompetent person to ever hold the office of POTUS.
I explained why, sometimes in great detail and rarely received a response in kind - actually most responses were unkind

And racist, too!!

Can't forget that one.

Much like Bush, I shorten or nickname others; I'll stop in honor of you earlier peace gesture.

Patek,
I admit most of Obama's agenda makes sense to me. For example, President Bush alienated our enemies with his rhetoric. Maybe the leaders of Iran and North Korea are in fact evil; however, the people of both Iran and North Korea are victims of their leadership. Obama has focused on them. In foreign affairs President Obama has been engaged diplomatically, President Bush ("W") engaged in brinkmanship.
Remember, he's less than a year into his first term as POTUS, not an easy job, and by all accounts he works hard, both to understand the issues and to understand the implications of, as well as the expected consequences of what he says and what he does. Circumspection is a good thing in a president, yet, in some cases he should be more like President Bush.
How? Well, I believe preventative health care should be universal. By that I mean every man, women, and child ought to be able to go to health centers nation wide to recieve physicals, including labs, innoculations, contraceptives, etc.; that each of several regions within our country ought to have teaching hospitals where capable students are trained as nurse practitioners able to work in health centers to provide such preventative health care, health education and medications to prevent complicatons from such chronic disease as diabetes, high blood pressue, heart disease, etc.

Health centers in every congressional district in our nation, built by local contractors and staffed by Nurse Practitioners employed by the Federal Government, providing free preventative treatment to those who suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.; and communicable diseases to limit transmission from person to person.
Hence, I don't believe President Obama has gone far enough. He needs to take a lesson from President Bush II and be the decider; he must veto any faux health care plan and tell congress exactly why.

Dude,
I never called Bush names. As I've said, I believe he was the most incompetent person to ever hold the office of POTUS. I don't believe he is dull normal, nor do I believe he is bright normal; his intelligence, if measure by these standards is somewhere in between - average (IQ of 90 - 110), IMO.
I rarely agreed with his ideas, and I believe he harmed our nation with jingoistic policy in foreign affairs and as a advocate for industry over the individual here at home.

The Republican answer to everything is tax cuts, we've tried it for eight years it hasn't worked for the economy, that's what they always say...Their answer is always tax cuts no matter what the question is and it simply hasn't worked. We've had eight years of deregulation, privatization and tax cuts for the rich and look where it's gotten us. It's not a surprise that this economy's in such bad shape because of those policies, we don't want to do more of them."
- Sherrod Brown

For every Federal income tax cut, their is an equal or greater increase in local fees. As revenue sharing dollars shrink, state and local government and special districts suffer, they raise fees for every thing, from building permits, to parking meters, to visits to parks, on fines for overtime parking, the cost to renew a license to drive, to fish, to hunt.
Income tax cuts benefit the wealthy to a much greater degree than they do the middle class or the working poor; upper income persons don't experience the fee increases as do the rest of us. This is one reason why I'm a Democrat, and wonder why the 'Reagan' Democrats vote against their own interests.

Like Sep. 12, 2001, when we were all united in shitting on ourselves while Bush and the GOP were getting great political karma off of it, which helped them through two major elections.

Guess I can't blame them for liking that day so much....

I have a news flash for ya, Bubba....History didn't begin the day you were born.

In the list of worst and most incompetent presidents of just the last 50 years, the Shrub might eke out 3rd place, behind Carter and Ford.....He's well down the list for incompetence when we count all 42 who preceded him.

Do yourself a favor and spread your cynicism around and quit being such a party man hack.

Dude,
Call me Wry and I won't consider you to be a typical dumb southern boy .
You are a prideful "Independent"; maybe you'd be so kind as to explain what you actually believe? What is the role of government? What was the founders vision for this new nation when they signed off on our Constitution? Was it their intent to make the Preamble a vision or mission statement for future generations?
