1) Corporations aren't the only job source in America, there are also mom and pop businesses.

2) Corporations didn't provide the products that got us out of the stone age, inventors and people did. Corporations only mass manufactured the product, they generally don't invent it.

3) Best products at the lowest price or face bankruptcy? Not so much, because when you want to lower your prices, you ship the jobs to China (Ask Apple).

4) Best jobs with the best pay to attract the best workers? Again.........see the Steve Jobs model with Apple and you'd see that all your Ipods and Iphones are made in China. The only jobs Apple has here in the US is sales, because they can be made MUCH cheaper in China.

5) I thought that under a free market system, the best would rise to the top and the only ones that would go bankrupt are the ones that are the worst.

This is reflected in the CEO-to-worker pay ratios. The worst so far is Mattel, where the CEO took home $31.3 million, or 4,987 times the corporation’s median worker’s pay. Even though sales were slumping. Or the GAP CEO $15.6 million, which was 2,900 times the pay of the clothing company’s median worker. Both these CEO’s were fired for sucking but not before taking home millions.
