So the study may have more to do with perception coming into play a little--a shorter man may have the perception a child is actually older since he has probably suffered a little harassment for being a little shorter than someone his own age. A 5' tall man, therefore, might consider a 5'2" 11-year-old girl as being his own age, or even a little older than himself and may be unable to control her if she grows to be 5'6".

Well, I used to think there had to be a genetic cause, because I couldn't accept it as a "choice." I'm now seeing that it is a choice a person makes for reasons nobody knows.

I think usually for multiple, sometimes unknown, reasons. A combination of things, and I think different people have different causes.
