A major hurricane is upon us. But because we just had to stop Hispanics rom entering the US, we could have a problem.

Homeland Security Shifted $10 Million From FEMA For Immigrant Crackdown, Senator Says

The Trump administration transferred nearly $10 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency earlier this year to fund immigrant detention and deportation efforts, according to a document released Tuesday by Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore).

The lawmaker first shared the documents with MSNBCā€™s Rachel Maddow, saying that the Department of Homeland Security requested the money ā€œjust as hurricane season [was] startingā€ and as it was attempting to fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the midst of its new ā€œzero toleranceā€ immigration policy. The controversial crackdown resulted in the separation of thousands of migrant children from their parents, hundreds of whom have yet to be reunited.

ā€œThis is a scandal. At the start of hurricane season ā€” when American citizens in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are still suffering from FEMAā€™s inadequate recovery efforts ā€” the administration transferred millions of dollars away from FEMA,ā€ Merkley said in a statement to HuffPost. ā€œAnd for what? To implement their profoundly misguided ā€˜zero toleranceā€™ policy. It wasnā€™t enough to rip thousands of children out of the arms of their parents ā€” the administration chose to partly pay for this horrific program by taking away from the ability to respond to damage from this yearā€™s upcoming and potentially devastating hurricane season.ā€

Trump doesnā€™t give a shit about the peasantry. If you understand that, you understand everything Trump does.

Speaking of frivolous and unnecessary, this lame attempt to gin up controversy leaps to mind.

I don't think the people on the eastern seaboard see it that way at this particular time.

I understand that. These trumpettes don't seem to.

I don't think the shift of $10 million - a drop in the bucket, budget-wise - from administrative accounts that have nothing to do with disaster response affects the Eastern seaboard in the slightest. Which you would know, had you bothered to research instead of rushing straight to having your panties in a wad.

We will see.

Florence is going to hit and stall over mostly Trump country. So I think Trump should shift more money away from FEMA for now.

Trying to gin up a controversy where there is none? Is that all you have to whine about?
There is plenty of money for FEMA to do what it needs to, just saw the director on CNN explain it.
How about we worry about the illegal Mexicans invasion with their drugs, violence and MS-13?
Maybe we need more FEMA money for the wall?

Aside from having to talk to ignoramuses like you who think fauxtrage makes facts irrelevant, I have no problems.

You, on the other hand, seem to be out of real stuff to throw tantrums about. Must be frustrating.
