Holder STATED for the record several times that if we would just ban assault weapons things would get better in Mexico which means the same damn thing as ending the bloodshed. The truth is that MOST of the weapons those drug cartels get are from overseas weapons dealers. smuggled through the southern border. The only reason it is other wised claimed is because THOSE weapons can not be traced to a source.

The liars in our current admin know this and so put out a misleading statement about how 90 percent of the weapons found at crime scenes in Mexico were traced to the US. READ the fine print though, It says 90 percent of the weapons they COULD trace. Further overseas shipments have full auto capability something not easily obtained in the US because of Federal laws on the possession and sale of said weapons. One must get FEDERAL approval to own a full auto. It involves a Federal background check and Federal license. One must keep the Government informed of where said weapon is stored at all times as well.
