The Black Panthers are let off the hook for harassing and intimidating voters at a polling station. But then considers sueing states for requesting that voters provide ID to ensure they are voting legally and in the proper place.

Were this happening under Bush the left would be beside themselves.

ChrisCoates testified to the Civil Rights Commission that many of the lawyers in the Voting Section were opposed to bringing any civil rights cased against blacks in Mississippi until such time as blacks in the state achieved socioeconomic parity with whites. This is an essential question that must be answered: is this a fair outlook in the United States today, or is it a corruption of the voting rights law? I wonder if the Black Panthers will out be in full force again next election. They are likely feeling pretty emboldened at this point and realizing they can get away with anything. Holder referred to them as "his people" when he announced he would not pursue charges of voter intimidation because he didn't want it to reflect badly on his his people. Nice to know who he's in bed with because it certainly isn't the law abiding, decent people. For him, it's about color and not character. He needs to go.

Apparently their Momma's never told them 2 wrong don't make a right.

Allowing Blacks to get away with something because Whites did it to them in the past? Hardly a fair, smart, or Practical policy.

Cool, affirmative action in DOJ prosecutions! :doubt:

Holder's like a young George Wallace, except with more melanin. Asshole ...

and the nerve to openly admit he is an advocate for Voter Fraud after he already lied to congress? and this buffoon is the Attorney General? more like the Attorney Jackass.

I am curious about one thing with Holder....

He was too busy to be kept up to date in regard to a gun running operation that crossed the border of an ally and involved the selling of arms to the enemy of that ally....

But he had plenty of time to review the case against two New Black Panther memebers...and did enough "due diligence" to tell his asst AG's to drop the case against their own sentiments.

I find that very poor prioritizing.

and to think kids get sent to prison for stealing a CD, and Holder gets away with lying to congress and could care less for the family that lost a loved one on his watch?

Like I said, his loyalty is to the leftist agenda.

One of Eric Holder's 'Greatest Hits':

"The New Black Panther Party threatened Philadelphia voters with billy clubs and Eric Holder’s justice department couldn’t be bothered. CAIR was accused of fundraising for Hamas, and Eric Holder shrugged.

But back when Fidel Castro demanded the return of an escaped slave, Eric Holder snapped to attention, clicked his heels, and sprung to action. Scrupulous legality, we’re given to understand by Mr. Holder, prevents his Department from prosecutions against the New Black Panthers and CAIR.

But regarding scrupulous legality, FoxNews’ Andrew Napolitano had (then Deputy) Attorney General Eric Holder’s number way back in April 23rd, 2000. Here it is thanks to The Media Research Center:

Napolitano: Tell me, Mr. Holder, why did you not get a court order authorizing you to go in and get the boy (Elian Gonzalez)?

Holder: Because we didn’t need a court order. INS can do this on its own.

Napolitano: You know that a court order would have given you the cloak of respectability to have seized the boy.

Holder: We didn’t need an order.

Napolitano: Then why did you ask the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals for such an order if you didn’t need one?

Holder: [Silence]

Napolitano: The fact is, for the first time in history you have taken a child from his residence at gunpoint to enforce your custody position, even though you did not have an order authorizing it. When is the last time a boy, a child, was taken at the point of a gun without an order of a judge…Unprecedented in American history.

Holder: He was not taken at the point of a gun.

Napolitano: We have a photograph showing he was taken at the point of a gun.

Holder: They were armed agents who went in there who acted very sensitively…

Yep, Party over Country - right from the horse's mouth

“The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told National Journal‘s Major Garrett in October.

Fox News’ Bret Baier asked McConnell Sunday if that was still his major objective.

“Well, that is true,” McConnell replied. “That’s my single most important political goal, along with every active Republican in the country.”

There are things done under the Obama administration (such as increased drone strikes) that the left certainly would have criticized the Bush administration for more heavily than they did the Obama administration. Suing states under the Voting Rights Act to protect the access of racial minorities to the ballot is not one of them.

Civil rights leaders and elected Democrats stood beside Bush as he signed the renewal of the VRA into law (Bush signs Voting Rights Act extension - politics - msnbc.com). Some of them criticized him for weakening its enforcement-- I doubt very much that any seriously criticized him for strengthening enforcement.
