Having witnessed the Russians hacking into Democratic party computers and influencing the outcome of the presidential election there, it is time for President Obama to respond with more than words. He did promise to do so "at a time and place of our own choosing" but he has only weeks before a Russian-friendly Donald Trump takes over. So, the "time" he speaks of is now. That the Russians could mess with the election through their cyber skills is bad enough when President Obama should have been protecting the integrity of American elections but it makes the Americans look weak to the rest of the world who will see minority president-elect Donald Trump as Moscow's man in Washington. Hitting back right now is a must. But what to do?

Cyber war is something the Russians do well. By leaking information selectively to a media willing to run with the stolen data and fake news, hate radio and FOX News in America, they can cause an electorate to question the integrity of our democratic system. The Russians have been using disinformation for years and they have provided the script to enemies of the United States. As they annexed Crimea, they claimed this was what the people there wanted. They got away with that. They moved into eastern Ukraine and even shot-down a civilian plane carrying many Dutch families and simply denied it was them. They sent their navy through the English Channel on its way to prop-up the murderous dictator Assad and they are winning the propaganda war there with plenty of stooges willing to repeat their claim that they are killing only terrorists.

Why did Obama let all this happen and then stand-by and let the Russians steal an American presidential election? The Russians have contempt for the United States and the European Union. Putin is winning the Cyber Cold War. There must be some people with cyber capabilities in the United States. Trump is ready to get rid of sanctions on Russia. But, let's get personal. What Putin would not like and what Obama can do is to declassify and publish documents about Vladimir Putin's personal fortune. Like Trump, he has a lot of money and real estate. The details of this is a secret to the Russian people and its revelation leading up to Putin's reelection in 2018 might lower his popularity at home.

Here's a thought, Shlomo. Why don't we just empty the arsenal on everyone but Israel.

To think only Putin and Russia wished to wreak vengeance against the administration is to be a pitiful fool. It was just a few short years ago that the NSA was busted for spying on 122 world leaders and global corporations. I'm certain that there are more than a few that are angry.

Then you have Obama's Messina and others who botched Cameron's "STAY" campaign and the Brexit team won instead. Huge loss. I'm certain that there are more than a few Brits that are furious.

And of course there is the last Israeli election that saw Obama and key D's seeking to oust Bibi by backing his opposition. What do you think the odds are Obama may have a few individuals in Israel who wanted payback?

Let us not forget the overthrow in the Ukraine of a duly elected President and his party backed by America.
Pinchuk and his oligarchs who donated more to Clinton than even Saudi princes benefited greatly whereas the average Ukrainian is suffering. This morning Ukrainians are waking up to their largest bank having been nationalized by the government.

For Obama or any other arrogant soul to accuse any other country of being "bad global citizens" for attempting to influence an election after the US helps overthrow Yanukovych, Mubarak, Gaddafi and still trying to overthrow Assad resulting in the Middle East going from a dog's breakfast to FUBAR'D is to be a over the top blind as can be hypocrite.

Blame Russia all you want. Putin after all is today's Snowball. But it doesn't change the fact that there are many knives that have been drawn across the globe against Obama and his administration.

One found their mark.

and influencing the outcome of the presidential election

Who witnessed "Russians hacking into Democratic party"?
The CIA.

"The Post said the CIA has identified people with connections to the Russia government who supplied the stolen emails to Wikileaks.

That is not what Mr. Clapper, the director of national intelligence, told the House Intelligence Committee at an open hearing on Nov. 17.

Asked about Russia and Wikileaks, Mr. Clapper said, “As far as the WikiLeaks connection, the evidence there is not as strong and we don’t have good insight into the sequencing of the releases or when the data may have been provided. We don’t have as good insight into that.”

No that is not true, there are Obama hacks making these claims, if it was true they would before the intelligence committee and Congress with their irrefutable evidence..

James Clapper: We ‘don’t have good insight’ into alleged Russian hacking

Because James Clapper never lies:
On June 12, 2013, United States House of Representatives member Justin Amash became the first Congressman to openly accuse Director Clapper of criminal perjury, calling for his resignation. In a series of tweets he stated: "It now appears clear that the director of national intelligence, James Clapper, lied under oath to Congress and the American people," and "Perjury is a serious crime ... [and] Clapper should resign immediately,"[37] Senator Rand Paul said "The director of national intelligence, in March, did directly lie to Congress, which is against the law."[38] Paul later suggested that Clapper might deserve prison time for his testimony
