(Apparently "Czar" was an insult in American political language up until the Russian Revolution killed off the last real Tsar. Before that, Czarism was the big bad that American democracy rescued us from.)

I don't recall from history that America did much to influence the Monarchy at the time of the Russian Revolution. If we did, I wonder why. Backing another authoritarian government at that point in time would have seemed odd.

How interesting that the Odd One's hero (Harding) brought American troops home from Siberia, helping the communists, those same troops that Woodrow Wilson sent, helping the anti-communists.

Every country has done or is doing that, even Belgium (Belgium's genocide in the Congo), and China and Russia back or ally with brutal regimes too, so do socialists (European indifference during the Rwandan Genocide, and the war in former Yugoslavia a good example) and communists (Cuba, North Korea,etc), some make great military bases, others just buy stuff (nice stuff like biological weapons, tanks, aircraft, a new rifle to put down the masses). So what you are suggesting there is not exclusive to just the USA but inclusive to everyone.

And it's all political. The apocalypse will have arrived when the last man standing hasn't yet been blown up by some warring political factions. If there is a God, perhaps he shouldn't have given humans more intelligence than lower animals in the first place since we continue to misuse the gift time and time again.

What is wrong with a massacre, a good massacre is a sure way to end a battle.
