We can wring out history, each seeking to justify the actions of the team we side on, but that is a completely fruitless activity.

The world belongs to the living.

At best history describes events, it can't really justify them.

Until the people living in and around Israel/Palestine TODAY find their own solution no solution is possible.

That modern Israel is a colony created by Europeans for Europeans is no less true than that the USA is a colony created by Europeans.

That Israelis today are natives of modern Israel and have every right to exist there, is also unquestionable true.

That Palestinians got screwed in order for the modern state of Isreal, and that many of them are denied their right to live there with full rights as citizens of Isreal is also unquestionable true.

Some here believe that a single state solution is possible.

It isn't.

Most Zionists demand a Jewish dominated homeland (hence no right of return offered to Palestinians), and most Palestinians demand a Jewish-free homeland (thus no peace is possible)

I also happen to think that the two state solution will fail.

The so called state given to the Palestinians isn't a viable piece of land with continuous borders capable of supporting all the Palestinians.

Wrong I think most Palestinians want a state along side Israel, but under conditions that are totally unacceptable to Israel, such as the right of return!

Maybe at the moment, but I think its more than likely if the Palestinians give up their demand for the Refugee return and Israeli rightist give up their dreams of the Greater Israel! The Arab league is ready to make peace with Israel if that happens, including Saudi Arabia and Syria!

What a horribly ill informed statement. You need to read a lot more on history. The Jews have been in Israel for thousands of years. Even when the Assyrians took the Israelites out of the land, many of them persisted and became the Samaritans. Many others of the Israelites moves south to Judea and mixed with the Jews. When teh Babylonians took the Jews captive they only took the royal family members (All of the potential leadership. Many returned to Israel when the Persians took over Babylon from the Medes (Kurds). When the Romans tried to destroy the Jews in 70 AD and later, the Jews fled to the region that was called Moab and Edom (in the Old Testament) and Egypt, Arabia and Syria and throughout north Africa and Europe as well as to lands to the East of the Euphrates.

When Mohammed waged his wars of extermination against the Jews in the Jewish town of Medina (southern ancient Israel.), he and his criminal band killed all of the men of several tribes, sold the children into slavery and took the good looking women for sexual purposes. He still left many Jewish tribes in the Promised Land. They continued to live there for generations.

The Crusaders killed all the Jews living in Jerusalem when the only really successful Crusade reached and sacked that city (Jerusalem). Yet the Jews in the adjoining towns and villages were allowed to remain. They remained there for generations and were there when the Jews of Europe started to return citing the Balfor declaration.

At that time over 600,000 Jews from adjoining Islamic lands returned to Israel. The Jews have been in the Middle East for thousands of years. The Arabs do not have that long of a history in Israel and are quite frankly trespassers and need to be kicked out of the land and returned to Arabia from whence they came.

However, I saw the wikipedia timeline and its right one. SO I USED IT!

I actually totally agree with you. At least with Wikipedia you can track the info through the sources and you know where it is coming from.
