Oic ... the US are a policing force in the Middle East and elsewhere around the globe. That about fits some of the worst assumptions and fears of other countries.

Mind you, this was 1951...start of the Cold War. We were the only thing holding back the red tide.

Today? China is the world's policeman...and I get the feeling that the world will miss us.
