Multiple forms of socialism, from hard Stalinism to European redistribution, continue to fail.

Russia and China are still struggling with the legacy of genocidal communism. Eastern Europe still suffers after decades of Soviet-imposed socialist chaos.

Cuba, Nicaragua, North Korea and Venezuela are unfree, poor and failed states. Baathism -- a synonym for pan-Arabic socialism -- ruined the postwar Middle East.

Because Work is hard and doesn’t leave enough time to smoke weed, play video games and jack off with their buddies.....and FREE is a word that the socialist educators have inbeded into their heads without explaining that NOTHING IS FREE, whether you pay for it now or down the road!

The young voters are pre-programmed by their liberal professors.
Sooner or later they will be the majority and implement some form of socialism.
IMHO colleges need to provide more conservative views to keep the kids from being indoctrinated.

The answer is clear, but the Right doesn't like it. Or, more likely, they won't understand it.

It's the fact that capitalism has been so damaged and distorted that more people are open to other ideas.

And there ya go.
.
How about a link to explain WTF you mean by "damaged". The US economy looks super-duper to me.

Yes, overall the economy is in pretty good shape.

And, concurrently, the wealth gap is continuing to increase. So the unevenness is continuing, presenting a nice, big target for the socialists.

That's because the GOP, in its present condition, thinks that controls are a bane to capitalism, while in fact they're a necessary component of capitalism.

I don't expect you to understand that.

There is nothing wrong with capatalism and there never has been. It more closely emulates nature than anything else and nature has worked well for millions of years. Socalism is nothing but an invention of politicians used to buy votes and support with the fruits of someone else's labor from stupid and lazy people.

Capitalism is not a singular, static thing. It includes variables, such as amount and efficiencies of regulations and controls.

Those who don't understand that regulations and controls are an important component of capitalism have made it a target for the socialists.

Or maybe because the left has controlled education for 4 or so decades that their message is the only one getting across.

Sure, you can run with that.

Socialism is just a trigger word.
It's the euphemism for the democracy we'll never see.

Every generation have ideals they become interested in trying, like socialism - regardless of what history teaches about the outcomes. There will be a day when these younger generations are in the majority and will have it their way. Conservatives will only be able to hold it off for so long. When it comes, God help us all.

I just hope I'm not alive to see a socialist America.

I'm a capitalist. Capitalism requires controlling mechanisms to function properly. Without them, the resulting inequalities make it a prime target for those who push socialism.

Those are the facts that you ignorant, brainwashed Trumpsters refuse to acknowledge.

Our public school system needs a makeover.....top to bottom...test all educators and faculty and fire the people who don't pass....fix the public school system and the Universities will follow....

Outside your bubble of Cold War dinosaur propaganda, everyone in the modern world knows socialism is now defined as always Democratic Fair capitalism with a good safety net. Communism is a dictatorship that owns all business and industry and no one is for that without a gun to their head. We are the only modern country that does not qualify although we are close. "We are all socialists now!"--president of Finland when ObamaCare passed. Of course he did not realize what bought off lying scumbags the GOP are and how many doops.are brainwashed with b******* now....

How about if I explain it to you? See the graph below, the 1% needs to pay more in taxes. The problem with socialists is that their targets can simply move to another country with lower taxes. My solution is a 3% VAT or Federal sales tax. That hits everyone the same, but the wealthy generally buy more stuff. We disagree on "economic controls" but may agree on a tax system that funds spending more equitably.

Only if they leave out the fact that Marxist Socialism is tyrannical and destroys individual Liberty. Socialists continue to pile up the bodies on their failed ideology. In 100 years they've murdered more than 100 million souls.
