Data in Clinton’s ‘secret’ emails came from 5 intelligence agencies

...Revelations put Clinton in crosshairs of broadening inquiry into whether she mishandled classified information

...Officials reviewed five classified emails and determined they included information from five intelligence agencies

...State Department officials warned there could be hundreds of classified emails

WASHINGTON

The classified emails stored on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private server contained information from five U.S. intelligence agencies and included material related to the fatal 2012 Benghazi attacks, McClatchy has learned.

Of the five classified emails, the one known to be connected to Benghazi was among 296 emails made public in May by the State Department. Intelligence community officials have determined it was improperly released.

Revelations about the emails have put Clinton in the crosshairs of a broadening inquiry into whether she or her aides mishandled classified information when she used a private server set up at her New York home to conduct official State Department business.

While campaigning for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, Clinton has repeatedly denied she ever sent or received classified information. Two inspectors general have indicated that five emails they have reviewed were not marked classified at the time they were stored on her private server but that the contents were in fact “secret.”

The email issue, however, has distracted from Clinton’s campaign for days and already has hurt her in public opinion polls. Besieged with questions, she has found herself caught in a murky dispute between State Department and intelligence officials over whether emails on her server were classified.

“Even if Secretary Clinton or her aides didn’t run afoul of any criminal provisions, the fact that classified information was identified within the emails is exactly why use of private emails . . . is not supposed to be allowed,” said Bradley Moss, a Washington attorney who specializes in national security matters. “Both she and her team made a serious management mistake that no one should ever repeat.”

If anyone out there is not convinced Hillary lies, they are just not paying attention. Isn't it time we had an administration that has integrity? We owe it to our country.

If Hillary received classified material in her email, and it wasn't labeled as such, the fault is with whoever sent it to her, not her.

This is just surreal with the continuing Clinton scandals. And the left will STILL back her on her quest to become President.

And Democrats have the mother trucking nerve to insult Republican candidates in the primary and call them part of a clown car?

Aye carumba!

Yep, but the credibility gap is growing, it's at a -20 now, 57-37% untrustworthy. And the number one thing people are looking for, a candidate that can be trusted.

People are looking for a candidate that they can trust?

Why do they trust Donald the Chump?

He's a one percent type who is rich and trying to by his way into the White House.

Why would you trust a person who has been bankrupt and failed in at least 3 marriages?

I thought that the GOP was for fiscal responsibility (not bankruptcy) as well as family values (and not divorce, which is an insult to marriage itself).

You are way off base.
1. People trust Trump because he says what he actually thinks instead of what will garner votes. Other candidates go with what is PC.
2. Sure he is rich. No scandals where he bribed or gave terrorist foreign countries favors for his foundations or libraries!
3. He knows a great deal more about businesses than you do. Bankrupting a company is sometimes the best way to handle a failing business.
4. Trump could be like Bill Clinton and stay married to a bad partner and seek sex outside of marriage. He did not do that. He was honest in his relationships. If it wasn't working out, they ended the marriage rather than cheat on each other. Divorce is not an insult...infidelity is.

Actually, I was thinking of people who work in the embassies.

Hilbat was SOS and she should damn well know when classified intel crosses her desk and you can bet there was a lot of it.

Doesn't look like clear sailing for Hilbat to the Dem Nomination.

Hell. She probably couldn't get the vote a dog catcher once all her scandals show up.

This shit isn't going away and she's got to answer for all of it. Good luck you POS. LOL

You make it sound as if the dear little device-dumb bimbo didn't know her private server was illegal and her keeping of classified materials after leaving office was criminal.

Hillary is toast! :boohoo:

First, you give the Doctor too much credit.

Second, any Secretary of State should know that someone, sometime during their tenure, will send him/her classified information; or that he/she would send classified information. Due to this inevitability, a competent SoS would follow all procedures to ensure all incoming and outgoing correspondence is securely protected. Not to protect himself/herself, as a private server might be employed to do, but to protect America.

Last, any SoS who didn't know what information was Classified, what was Secret, and what was personal is incompetent and should never have been in that cabinet position.

What you say makes sense. Especially your last sentence.

Yanno.............there are times that some information is put out as unclassified, and later on, the designation of classified or higher is applied to the originally unclassified memo.

Check the dates on the e-mails, and see if they were considered classified upon being sent, or after the fact.

If it's after the fact, Hillary is in the clear, because she doesn't control what is and isn't classified.
