The oil from the pipeline will not stay in the US, but will go into the world market.

Just for fun.......what would happen if Iran made good on their threat and closed the Strait of Hormuz and cut off the flow of oil? Are you naive enough to think that having another pipeline flowing from a good ally across our homeland is a bad thing? If we needed that oil, do you think it is going to be loaded on tankers and sailed halfway around the world?
